In This Episode: Cecil Lammey, Sigmund Bloom, and Jason Wood discuss the Jacksonville Jaguars with Special Guest Reggie Williams, WR from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Topics include his offseason conditioning program, his relationship with QB Byron Leftwich, his impressions of Maurice Jones-Drew, what he thinks about Culpepper possibly being a Jaguar, Seattle based strength and conditioning coach Travelle Gaines comments on Reggie, and more!

It sounds like Williams committed himself a lot more regarding his conditioning and diet. Maybe this and the maturity can help him develop into the WR the Jags hoped for when they drafted him. It sounds promising. I also liked the fact that there seems to be a chemistry between him and Leftwich.

I had an effing blast last night. Cec and Bloom surprised me with this, and it was a great way to cap off a pretty damn good day overall.

"Salt and Pepper" LMAO!

Parsing through things, I found it interesting that Dirk Koetter recruited Reggie out of high school, obviously Koetter has some designs on what Reggie can do and that may be a marginal benefit to the big guy this season.

I still say that if you feel the itch to take a flyer on a Jags WR, he's the one most likely to break out (with a healthy Leftwich).

I will not be drafting Salt or Pepper

Although I was attending the University of Washington when Williams was there and he does think highly of himself....hopefully he works hard to improve his game because he needs it.

Who wasn't a cocky ####### when they were in college? Especially a football player. Travelle said in our interview (after the break) that Reggie knows what he needs to do, and has grown up, not just for himself, but to be the best WR he can be for the Jaguars.Put me down for drafting Pepper.

Other nuggets from this interview:

- Reggie confirmed that Byron is "his guy" and that they have that "no look" chemistry. I bumped him up in my rankings on that alone.

- Reggie and the WRs love new WR coach Todd Monken. Reggie mentioned that he's closer to their age (31 or 32) and that he texts and calls them a lot and cares about them as human beings as much as he does as players.

- Reggie said Mike Walker is "hungry" "silky smooth" and that he has "great hands". He also commented positively on Walker's dedication.

- Reggie seemed excited about the prospects of Dirk Koetter's offense - he noted that Andrew Walter set a PAC 10 record in Koetter's offense.

- Reggie's been working on hip conditioning and strengthening his stride.

Lots of good stuff from Reggie in this interview, and we definitely appreciate him giving us his very valuable time!

Williams may end up being cut. I've read that he and Jones are both on a short leash. I have a feeling one of them will be cut before the season starts and my guess is it will be Williams. He's been a huge disappointment.

Any camp update from Jacksonville about the WR situation?
