The Audible Live - 10 PM tonight 5/26 (1 Viewer)

Two years ago you guys told the football guys community to take notice of Ray Rice and he wound up having a stellar 2009 campaign. Last year, you were high on guys like Bradshaw and Foster, and both went on to have fantastic seasons. I know it’s only the end of May, but which guys do you see achieving similar success this upcoming year? If you have time, how about throwing us out a few WR’s as well—I grabbed Nicks in all my leagues after you told us to do so. Keep up the great work!

That guy?

Really???

About time :)
They'll let anyone on that show now.
Anyone with a keen eye on the IDP landscape that is! Thanks for all of your insight in the IDP forums (the best IDP forums on the interwebs!). I've seen and commented on your redraft LB and DL rankings, any hints that you can give on your DBs? Also, would there be all that much difference in your dynasty rankings of IDP?

Jene, what reasonable rule change, equipment innovation or playing field standardization/innovation do you believe would most extend an NFL players career? How easily achievable would that change/innovation be?

(If you can answer two) What do you think the team doctors saw in the DaQuan Bowers medical report that made them so nervous?

Thanks

Hi guys, thanks for the greatest show on the web!

Sig, what do you expect of Sam Bradford this year? With McDaniels arrival and how they drafted, the Rams sure seem ready to feature him and Steven Jackson less so. There are reports of Bradford already having learned the new playbook and in my opinion we are looking at the next Manning or Brady. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi guys, what’s up? Love the show!

I have a dynasty question regarding TEs in a TE premium league for you.

Last year, Baltimore drafted E.Dickson and D.Pitta. However, T.Heap is still around and still is the starter. Who of the two second year players has the most value over the next two years? How much does the lock out hurt second year players like the two TEs? They got the play book, know the system and the coaches didn't change, after all.

Truly Yours

What's the status of QB in Denver? Is Tebow going to be the starter?

He definitely showed us some fantastic fantasy production at the end of last year, and any QB that runs in for potential TD scores is a plus. Thoughts?

Great to have Gene on the show tonight!

Gene, I love your draft board chart. It's very helpful to see rankings both vertically by position as well as horizontally across positions.

I'm looking for under the radar IDP players both rookie and young vets, guys who might be out there on the waiver wire. I'm not afraid to take a risk on young guys with upside.

Thanks for your insight!

Dynasty Greg

Ahhhhh, talkin' IDP with Jene Jene The Dancin' Machene. Awesome.

I'll keep this as brief as possible. :)

- With the new sheriff in town in Carolina, is it reasonable to be plying James Anderson's services to the highest bidder? Or do you think he can have a near repeat performance from 2010 if he remains the starter? I'm of the mind that he cannot. Would enjoy hearing your take.

- Antrelle Rolle: Top 36 DB in '11 or no?

- Craig Dahl: I assume if they keep using him as the "OLB" in that Daffy Duck nickle formation they run in St. Louis he maintains his value? Any reason to believe they scrap that package?

- Barry Cofield: Is he a decent bet to crack 40 tackles again in '11? Or was '10 a "perfect storm" situation?

- Carlos Dunlap: Where do you see his production falling the next handful of seasons? DL3? DL2? Higher?

Many, many thanks.

What is the prognosis on Demaryius Thomas' achilles injury? Last I heard he will begin the season on the PUP. What will his role be once he returns, if he returns in 2011??? I drafted him 7th overall in last season's rookie-only draft. I hate to give up on him but he does take up $25 of my $400 salary cap. Is it time to cut ties? If so, how much would you bid on him in an attempt to re-aquire him during our free agent auction?

Since you did so good on the first topic, you get a bonus question: What are your thoughts on Danny Amendola? Crowded WR corp in StL, but I have been hearing he could be a ppr-stud in Josh McDaniels' offense. Is he more valuable as a flex in a ppr league than RBs like The Law Firm or Brandon Jacobs?

A couple of things:

If Elvis dummervil moves to DE, where does he rank?

Also, I would love to switch my keeper league to an auction format. What's the best way to make that transition while determining keeper values for players.

where do guys like Stephen Williams, Kory Sheets, Jalen Parmele, Riley Cooper, Devin Aromoshadu, Jordy Nelson, and Marcus Easley rank amongst rookies in a PPR Dynasty rookie/ FA draft?

Hey guys, love the show. I am very grateful that you've answered a couple of my questions on previous shows but I just wanna mention that I pronounce my forum name "em rip."

Issue 1: I know you don't want to talk about the possibility of not having a season, but it is the #1 question on everyone's mind. What are the chances we get a fantasy season this year?

Issue 1.1: If there isn't a season, how should keeper leagues handle 2011 picks that were traded last year?

P.S. I highly doubt you'll address these questions on the show but I would greatly appreciate any sort of response. I'm not sure that hiding our heads in the sand is the best option here. Thanks!

P.P.S. Will Mike Wallace improve on his 2010 numbers?

Jene and Sig,

What's your best guess on how the Texans will use Ryans and Cushing? Who's going to be the LB to own on that team?

Thanks for the knowledge guys!

Keep up the great work!

Great to hear FF talk while everyone else is talking labor or just not talking.

Couple of questions.

At this point, who are the top RB handcuffs to own, who could have a HUGE impact should the starter go down, or if they were to take over the top RB spot within their team.

Do you guys think we will see significantly more injuries due to players being less conditioned/prepared for the NFL season.

Probably. But I'd say that about 40-50 players. The real question is whether he has a better than average chance at a top 20 finish and more good weeks than mediocre. I think that's much less likely. Balanced scoring, relatively deep waiver wire, I'd pass and shoot for more upside and tolerate a lower ceiling.

Until they address their OLB issues, the SS in STL will hold DB3+ value. I think Dahl is safe in the same role as last year, but Jermale Hines is a WLB/SS hybrid that they may have drafted specifically for that subpackage role. We'll see how that develops in camp and as the season progresses.

Pass. May not be in NY, surrounded by stud pass rushers, not an elite talent.

Agreed with Matt and Sig on this one. Nelson in the third tier (late 2nd, early 3rd) around the time Salas comes off. Really like Easley, but he's quiet enough that you can probably steal him a round or two after Nelson. Not a big fan of the rest, unless you're considering Parmele as a potential handcuff. Drafted Easley over Cooper many times last year and I'd do it again this year.

I'm pretty optimistic that there'll be a season this year. I can't see the players staying united through September and would be shocked if the owners extended the lockout long enough to kill the season. It might get really hectic in late August, early September with a lightning round of free agency while folks are trying to squeeze in redrafts and auctions, but I think it happens.I think Wallace sees more targets (he only had 98 in 2010) and receptions. But that gaudy 20.9 yards per catch figure and his 10 TDs may be tough to match. I think Ward rebounds a bit and I really like Sanders to breakout soon. I don't think Wallace is a top ten guy.

Absolutely. Lots of talk about what the loss of OTAs, workouts and camp will cost teams with new playbooks and young players in need of intensive offseason coaching, but this will be an equally big issue for many veterans.Lots of muscle strains and subsequent compensatory injuries coming.

Thanks for listening everybody. Very strong chat room, too. That hour flew by much more quickly than usual. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend.
