The Audible - Offseason edition(s) (1 Viewer)

2 things for me would be most important:

1. Impacts of player movement, who's up / down based on new situations

2. Who's going to rise / fall dramatically this year, based on growth of young players, or old guys falling off the edge.

Cheers,

Obviously the draft - and mini camp - and training camp - and positional battles...

Apart from that discussions on players, movement etc. Discussions as in two honestly held opinions being brought forward - ot just controversy for controversy's sake - plenty of fishing already in the pool

We are currently in the process of lining up more draft prospect interviews now that pro days are coming to a close.

I want to hear that you're providing transcripts so I can read your analysis instead of having to listen to it.

I think the move to more and more audio has been a huge step backwards.

I love the podcasts. Keep them coming. I would like some discussion on coaching changes and the affect they will have on key players and team philosophies. I would also like an analysis on O-line cahnges in the off season and the possible affect on RB & QB production. Thanks

of course we need the 'hidden gems'

ala brandon marshall and colston types...

of course we know about booker.. I guess Wright is a new star? who are the WRs?

Ginn - i think he is destined to fail...

hidden gems (rooks and vets) i.e. wright / jackson - rooks devry henderson in vets.. maybe Eric Johnson,

due to disappoints (rooks and vets) Ginn (imo) and rhodes / Jordan

On this less is too much. I really don't need to hear 35 guys say what their agent is coaching them on. Q: "So how do you think you'll do in the draft?"A: "I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. I know I can help my team play better, and I want to get in there and show that."Q: "How do you think you did at your Pro Day?"A: "Well, I was disappointed not to work out at the Combine, ya know? So at the ProDay, I wanted to show everything. (if he did well) I put it all out there on the field. (If not) I wanted to do better because I know I can. (If he did really bad) Well, I think I am more of a game player and not a workout warrior."Q: "How much do you like football?"A: "I love football. Every since I was a kid, I've been playing it. "Q: "So would you do it for free?"A: :crickets:Yea, I just drove off the road from falling asleep on this interview. Thanks anyway...

Many of our interviews on site were right after practices and the players were having to give multiple interviews. So we didn't want to monopolize them, or pull out any "gotcha" questions. The extended interviews are much more in depth and give you a real feel for who the player is. The agents do not screen our questions, and the players do not get them in advance, so you get real answers. I think you can tell the difference between a player that has been coached and a player answering from the gut when you listen.Check these out and hopefully they will be more interesting:

Maine SS Prospect Daren Stone

Florida State RB Lorenzo Booker

Thanks for listening and hope we don't cause any car accidents.

Bloom, don't get me wrong. I love the podcasts and the info you guys are putting out. Its just, at this time of the year, there are a ton of interviews on ESPN, NFLN, etc with players that are so afraid of saying the wrong thing that they say the same things over and over again. I admit that I haven't listened to these two you listed. I'll dig into them and try to drive safer... Thanks man.
