The Audible Roundtable LIVE! - 10/21/10 - 10pm ET (1 Viewer)

Trades are always a hard transaction to get complete in any league - how do you find that sweet spot to get a deal done?

Example I tried trading Bradhshaw for players like Turner, Charles, S-JAX etc but owners won't bite because of the perceived value of said players.

Give us some players that you feel are in a sweet spot (not necessarily sell highs). But guys that have perceived value, before this ff season if you traded away Shonne Greene for Arian Foster people would have laughed.

Read the tea leaves and give us some pre-emptive trades (redraft) that other owners would be fighting over to deal with you.

You guys seem to still be down on Danario Alexander. Bradford and the Rams coaches do not. Are you guys still thinking he's not worth much despite those who are in charge clearly trying to get him involved?

Maurice Jones-Drew.

What is going on in Jacksonville, is MJD now a RB3? With the QB injuries and offensive woes is MJD worth benching this week for other options such as Ahmad Bradshaw?

Thanks in advance!

Can't get enough of this show, never miss it!

How do you guys feel about Danny Woodhead this week? In what could be a high-scoring shootout with the Chargers, and with his WR eligibility, is Woodhead a better play this week over middle of the pack WR's like Crabtree and Britt?

TY!

I'd like for you to talk about the Jets running game. Will LT continue to get most of the work (55+%)? Will Greene be phased in more? Last season we saw Thomas Jones get a huge amount of work after Washington went down and Greene didn't get a large portion of the rushes until very late in the year.

When Reggie Bush comes back, what will Chris Ivory's job look like? If all three back are healthy, (2 aforementioned plus P Thomas) what will the rushing attack look like?

Ryan Torain and Peyton Hillis - will they continue to be featured? Can we count on them through the FF playoffs?

You guys mentioned Eric Decker as a young WR getting pushed out of the mix due to the numbers game in Denver. Are there more examples of young good WRs that aren't getting playing time due to just too many WRs in front of them?

With DeSean out this week, what type of value do you see Maclin as this week - Top 10 WR?

Also how much do you bump Avant's value or even now a healthy Cooper?

Talk to me about Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has only started 3 games but seems to have posted very good numbers. I understand he won't lead his team to much but where do you out him fantasy wise versus Henne, Palmer, Sanchez and Hassbach?

Also with all the news out of Indy with Clark and Addai looking out for a while who looks to the guy most likely to benefit in the passing game and in the running game? Hart or Brown for the rushers.

Thanks again guys!

Where do you see MJD finishing at the end of the year better, same or worse than he currently sits in PPR (currently 17)? Why are his receptions so down?

Hey Guys!

Can you guys talk about the Vikings? Do we have any clarity from one game with Moss? Favre has elbow issues, how did he look? Shiancoe blocked a lot more last week and wasn't involved much, going forward is he going to get redzone looks? Is Harvin really the guy that benefits the most?

Thanks,

theProfessor

IDP Question. I'm in a position required league (LB, DE, DT, CB, etc) and have Denver's Jason Hunter who was originally designated a DE but has been playing in a LB role. Can you think of any other DE/DT emerging players that may also be so mis classified due to team or roster moves?

Thanks guys,

Jonathan

@mondo_tiki_man

Thanks so much gentlemen.

I'm in bye week hell this week and am not able to submit a complete starting lineup. Dropping a skill position is out of the question. Am I better to drop my KICKER in favor of a waiver receiver the likes of Patrick Crayton (starting no kicker at all) or should I just start the kicker and be short a receiver (we start 3 wide receivers in a NON-PPR scoring system).

Seems like the wheels are falling off of every skill position in Indy. Who would you target at each position to hold through the bye week?

Brown vs Hart?

Gonzalez vs White?

Is there a backup TE worth picking up?

Thanks

Happy Thursday Boys!

What is going on with Michael Turner? Has he lost five steps? Is it that the Falcons only run him in obvious situations? Is Ryan more defensible than we think? It looked to me like the Eagles bracketed Gonzo the way they bracketed Finley earlier in the year, so you'd think Turner would have been the benficiary but last week = nada.

Do I bench the Burner for friggin Danny Woodhead in PPR league?

Kill me

BB

Brett FAVRE at # 15 in the QB rankings? Why so low on he and (to an extent) the rest of Vikes this week? The Pack have really given up some points to opposing QBs (and in turn WRs) the past several weeks. Is this low ranking a one week thing or do you see struggles for Farve, Moss, Shiancoe, etc all year long?

Whassup Fellas!

JAX @KCC....

1) What's up with the love for Mike Thomas this week (PPR leagues)? With Bouman at QB, shouldn't that damper the enthusiasm?

2) Is MJD benchable in PPR this week?

3) D/ST: How do you like the KCC DEF against JAX? Would you prefer someone like SEA vARI?

Also, thoughts on Chris Ivory, talent vs. opportunity?

Thanks!

Thanks for the informative, entertaining show. You guys rock! I am curious in your take on three Waiver Wire RBs. First, I hear the Woodhead comparisons to Kevin Faulk, but is it possible Woodhead actually takes the lead role at RB for the Pats? Similarly, what do you see Ivory's role in New Orleans going forward, and beyond this season? Do you have any thoughts on Woodhead and Ivory as potential every-down backs, and are they capable at picking up blitz, etc... Are there durability concerns for either of them? Finally, with Huggins now gone for the season, what are your thoughts of LeGarrette Blount's chances at working his way into a larger role in the offense? Was he deactivated last week as part of a numbers game, or is there something more we should be concerned about? Sorry this was so wordy!

Keep up the great work.

Cecil, Bloom...

I got a doomsday gloom I feel about the Raiders this week. Kyle <<<freaking>>> Boller is going to be our starting QB! Hue Jackson's playcalling has been vanilla. I saw you sttil have Z. Miller, Bush, DMC, high, and even Murphy as a borderline starter.

I am thinking about benching all of them, and starting Denver's DST.

Am I overreacting?

It appears that Branch and Brady have a strong connection. That said, how does this affect B. Tate's value? Is he still worth rostering or is he expendable?

Also would like your thoughts on D. Alexander this weekend vs Tampa as well as moving forward. Seems to be a very favorable match up.

Finally any news on Addii? If he is out does D. Brown or M. Hart get the bulk of the workload?

Let's talk the skinny on Gonzo is he really worth the add over the likes of Big Mike Williams or even Steve Smith (panthers) yes they are on our wire. If Collie is out 4 weeks will Gonzo have enough time to become a WR2.

Also how do you see the Raiders RB situation shaking out now that McFadden is a go. Thanks I'll hang up and listen.

Guys,

What are your thoughts on Arian Foster as far as dynasty goes (PPR league, 2QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1FLEX). I'm struggling at RB (SJax, Forsett, Donald Brown, BJGE) and am considering trading Forsett and Reggie Wayne for Foster and Mike Williams (TB). It would leave me thin at WR, but I've got Welker and SMoss (plus I'd be getting Mike Williams), and I've got plenty of WR depth and prospects on my bench (DMason, McCluster, Gaffney, Jacoby Jones, and Meachem). I also have an eye towards next year as this year has been a train wreck, so I thought getting what I can for Wayne now might be a good option (and Foster and Williams for him seems pretty good).

Thanks as always for the great stuff you guys deliver every week!

Hey Bloom and Cecil

Here's the skinny, got a possible trade going down tonight but I just can't pull the trigger, tell me what you think. I would trade away Felix "The Cat" Jones, and C.J. Spiller, in return I would receive Ryan Mathews and Mike Hart, so tell me, what should I do? And by the way this is a PPR/Return yardage league.

Thanks

Josh

General question for you guys. When does someone become "injury prone"? Would you consider Matthew Stafford (with his shoulder injuries or Knowshon Moreno (with the hammy problems), for example, as injury-prone players? Would it be a case-by-case basis?

I can see the overwhelming negativity regarding Danario is still live and well on the audible. A major issue is that these guys don't seem to be taking into consideration COST. Danario is FREE for most of us. Their arguments are not valid because of the cost which is you drop a scrub off the end of your bench. Of course if you had to pay in terms of cost, say a Torain or a Hillis in a trade, then yes, i would say it's probably not a wise choice. But you don't. So all of their concerns are completely invalid. You pick up a guy with this much talent, and if he gets hurt, then you drop him. You pick him up, and if he stinks, you drop him. But when a guy has a ceiling this freakin high, you take a chance and you pick him up! There really is no question.

Sig - point well made....people laughed at me for trading Shonn Greene For Nicks and Hester in a dynasyt league befoore the season started...look who is laughing now!!!

Is Garcon a MUST GET guy with Collie and Clark out for extended time-Clark possibly all season..? Im contemplating using Crabby, S.Smith-CAR, Amendola, M.Thomas + a top LB (1 of Lofton, Beason, EJ Henderson, DJ Williams) to upgrade as we can only start 3 and I have further depth at LB with Bradley, Session, Wake.. OR is Garcon right on par with my WR's (3 of my guys are on bye week 9 and loosing Clark at TE takes away another flex option.. should I stand pat or make a move for him??

Hey Guys,

First off I love the show and think the on-air chemistry you guys have is rare. When Waldman came in I wondered what would happen to that and it didn't miss a beat, actually improved. The Audible is by far the best podcast out there in all of sports. I look forward to it every week.

This is the first time I am posting a suggestion/complaint. This morning I was a little dismayed when the entire length of my morning drive to work was occupied by talking about the vicious hits rule. I understand that it seems to represent a momentous shift in how the game is played, but plain and simple hearing thoughts on it are not the reason I listen.

A quick comment on it to start the show is a given, but I would really prefer if you guys quickly relayed your thoughts and got back to what all of you do best: delivering key fantasy football observations and advice that you simply can't get anywhere else. As valid and interesting as your thoughts on this rule are, I can get these types of opinions basically anywhere. It's been discussed ad nauseum on Sportscenter, NFL live, and just about every sports outlet there is. Again, I am not saying your opinions aren't valid on this, just that it's not the reason I make your show a must-listen.

Ok, rant over. You guys are the best in the biz and I hope you keep at it and keep improving the show. I just hope the focus remains where it has been, as that is what has made the Audible the indispensable show that it is.

I don't agree - I enjoyed the first 20 minutes where they talked about the new perspective of "hitting" in the NFL.
