I have to admit I'm curious as to how we define "sleeper" nowadays. Is sleeper any player who does better than projected? Is it a tier 3 player who has a top 10 performance? Or is it a term for any player who is likely not on a fantasy roster, or is, but is so deep he hasn't seen the lineup all year but with matchups and injuries this is his week?

With Addai hurt/out, Dominic Rhodes will be the starting RB for the most prolific Offense against a patsy defense. The only sleeper is the FBG who doesn't think he'll do very well. Will he be a top 10 RB? I think so.

KC is playing Oakland. Enough said. Will they be a top 10 Def this week? 10-ish

Rattay? Cleveland has some game film, they know he's starting and he's on the road. He will probably do slightly better than projected, but definitely not a top 10.

Of these 3 I think Rhodes does better than projected and has a top 10 and is my "sleeper" pick of this lot.

I think a sleeper is anyone you wouldnt normally consider starting unless you were desperate.

This comes up every week it seems. The definition is not hard and fast, but Iagree with Bloom that this is a player that is either (A) likely not on your roster or (B) a player you normally would not start if he is buried on your bench, but in either case they are worthy of a start because they will produce. In my case this week, I went to the trouble of checking ESPN leagues and how many had KC on their roster (only 30%). So 7 of 10 teams could go out and grab KC off their waiver wire.

KC - 4 sacks, 5 turnovers, zero TDs and 3 FGs against (9 points). Too bad they didn't score on defense, but overall that's a pretty good performance.

Hey guys, while I'm thinking of this- You guys rarely, if ever talked about any defensive players in the weekly audibles. How about each of you nameing an IDP from each team that you feel will have a good statistical day. Or even 2 per team total. I'm sure plenty of others would like to hear some IDP info too.

I thought this every week listening to them, but never brought it up. Hopefully it will be remembered when the season gets started.
