Edwards has been great this year, but you need to wait to see what happens with the Browns QBs before you decide to keep him or not.IEdwards, and Anderson. I have Brady, so I had been started Romo at my flex and with Romo on a bye, Anderson got his first start. After the past few games, I may be starting Anderson over Romo for a while. Romo has been solid, but Anderson has been better over the past few weeks.I now have a dilemna for next year in my PPR league. I can only franchise one person and I have FWP for a 13th and Edwards at a 14th. I can keep both at least the next 2 years, but only one for a long time. RBs have been hard to find good ones this year, but Edwards has been phenomenal. After this week, he might get close to Moss for #1 WR. Not sure how far behind he is.
The guy's growth path and development have happened under a number of mediocre QBs. Braylon woulda broken out with Quinn at QB. I agree he would be having a great year even if Quinn was there, but his numbers would go down a bit. Simply because he would not have had as many opportunities. The guy's growth path and development have happened under a number of mediocre QBs. Braylon woulda broken out with Quinn at QB. Completely agree. I think he'd be a low #1 WR.I agree he would be having a great year even if Quinn was there, but his numbers would go down a bit. Tara Douglas can rest her mind a little bit. The mother of 15-year-old Denzel Douglas, the heart transplant patient who met Braylon Edwards two weeks ago and died last Friday, will be able to give her son a proper funeral.Because the Cleveland Browns wide receiver stepped in.Edwards, who was touched by the family and particularly Denzel, is paying for the entire cost of the teenager’s funeral Friday.“No mother should have to worry about giving her son a proper burial,” Edwards said Wednesday.Denzel asked to meet Edwards, and the receiver went to the hospital to spend a few hours with him. Edwards gave Denzel an autographed jersey and one of the three balls he caught for touchdowns against the Miami Dolphins. Tara Douglas plans to bury her son in the No. 17 Browns jersey Edwards gave him.
Wow, that's awesome. A pro athlete that appreciates what he has. If only there were more like this instead of the PacMan's and Vick's of the world.Makes having him on your squad even better vs half the d-heads the league is filled with.

Very little an athelete can do to make me cry. This did.Makes having him on your squad even better vs half the d-heads the league is filled with.

Some might also remember that Braylon also gave $500,000 to the University of Michigan endowment for athletic scholarships after just his rookie year. I know many athletes make these types of donations, but I thought it was great that he did it so early in his first contract and in such a large amount. It's a different type of donation than the funeral costs (obviously) but it further demonstrates how he is not just a "show me the money" type of player. I'm sure some of that has to do with his father having been a pro athlete. His dad was kind of there before. He probably visited kids in the hospital when Braylon was young and also taught Braylon how to appreciate the need to help others coming up in school behind you.
Didn't see the game but would be surprised if this was the case. Dude catches everything...I saw he was targeted a lot during the game, especially in the red zone. Was Anderson off the mark? Dropped balls? Good defense?
He dropped one sure TD pass against SEA. But hey, everyone has an off day and it was KW2's time to shine.Didn't see the game but would be surprised if this was the case. Off day for Braylon yesterday, had a case of the drops yesterday. Anderson was also a little off with his throws. Had a 20yd TD which flat out bounced off his chest in the 4th quarter.I saw he was targeted a lot during the game, especially in the red zone. Was Anderson off the mark? Dropped balls? Good defense?

Winslow also dropped a TD on the next play when it went through his hands above his head, and then he didn't clearly get it over the EZ on the next play. (Probably did get it over, but there weren't good camera angles to prove it).I have And and Edw. It was like three plays in a row when I could have got some points. So these guys didn't come through in the EZ. A bit of a fluke rather than the norm. I think Jamal looked good pushing through for those TD's. He had to work to get them. Inside the two you would expect someone to run it in, and now that Lewis has shown he can do it, Def will need to respect that as well.Even before this week Sea ranked #1 in not allowing Passing TDs. So it should look better down the road. LOL, this is the first time And hasn't thrown for a TD this year and he still gets 364 yards. Ted Lange as your Bartender said:1. Moss2. Owens3. EdwardsCan't say I saw this coming at the beginning of the season with the prospect of either Frye or a rookie as his QB.Of course, unlike the two above him, Edwards is only 24!:dynasty:![]()
Don't get me wrong, I like Anderson alot. But he is not exactly super accurate. Quinn coming in at some point shouldn't hurt Edwards too much, since I think it is more of Edwards helping Anderson's stats than the other way around.Ted Lange as your Bartender said:1. Moss2. God, I really hope Brady Quinn doesn't become the starter. Coming into this season we changed our keeper rules and only 1 keeper can be "franchised" forever. I kept FWP for a 13th and Braylon for a 15th (drafted Parker 2 years ago and Edwards late last year). There was no doubt in my mind before week 1 that FWP would be my permanent franchise and that Braylon and Colston/M. Turner would be my other 2 keepers, but right now, I would protect Braylon in a heartbeat. Even today, when he had a great game, he was still targeted many other times, including red zone looks, where he didn't get a reception. Having Winslow makes for a great 1-2 punch where they can't both be double teamed.
It seems odd to think back to draft night when I had a coin flip in my head on whether to take Santonio Holmes or Edwards, and odder still to recall how I was kicking myself after Week 1 for taking Braylon and making the "wrong" decision. At the time I consoled myself on my "wrong move" by thinking, "Well, I always have Steve Smith and Roy Williams. They'll be money all year."![]()
It is possible, but I think people are acting like Anderson is a 4 year starter. This is his first year starting. Look at Peyton Manning's first starting year. It was by far his worst completion % and not much different than Anderson this year. Yes, I know DA is not a rookie, but actual starting games is a lot different than being a backup. As good as Edwards has played, as a fantasy owner, I would rather stick with the status quo than have to deal with another inexperienced QB. Quinn may end up being better, but it would be nice not to have a drop off. Look at David Carr. Houston thought he was good enough to select #1 and here in Charlotte at the beginning of the season people mentioned he might take over for Delhomme. Andre Johnson would have been a Moss/TO-like stud this year in his first year without Carr if it weren't for that one hit in the Carolina game. With Carr, he had some good years, but wasn't the deep threat. My worry with Quinn is that DA has shown the ability to throw deep and Edwards has a bunch of long scores. If Quinn is better short, Edwards could easily see a big hit to his stats. I have no idea, but until Quinn plays, it is hard to judge.Anyway, it is the risk of the unknown. If Edwards is only 8 points (in my PPR league) away from being WR3 behind TO and Moss, then I would have no problem with that level of production with a lot less risk than maybe doing better with a "better" QB in Quinn.Don't get me wrong, I like Anderson alot. I agree with you, as an Edwards owner I would prefer Anderson stay the starter. However even if Anderson isn't starting for whatever reason I think Edwards can continue to produce, that can be seen from the awesome catches he has been making this year.It is possible, but I think people are acting like Anderson is a 4 year starter.
