The Denver Backfield: is Young the Workhorse? (1 Viewer)

For the past couple of seasons... I have avoided the Denver Backfield because of the games that are played. Including this yr... it seemed like the same old story; Many believed that Young will get the majority after Henry was cut... maybe even become the workhorse. But I stayed away.

And Sure enough; hype builds around Trojan, Albridge, Pittman, and anyone that takes a carry in the pre-season.

But then, Trojan breaks his elbow... out for a couple of months. Albridge is IR'd after a great game. Leaving only Pittman and Young as the main Ball carriers in Denver.

And Ofcourse Hall... he looked very capable last yr in his limited action.

Whats the SP feel on Young entering the season... I think hes about to explode in Sept and Oct.

Is it a good time to buy??

FYI, you didn't mention Andre Hall anywhere there.
Seriously.
No.. Thank you, I knew I was missing someone.
Young will be the starter, but I believe that Hall will see significant time, and I think that Youngs durability is a legitimate concern. If he gets dinged or outplayed Hall will be the player that reaps the rewards. If young slides to a later position take him if the value is there, but I rate Hall as one of the top backups who has the ability and a better possibility to move into the starter role and he can be had very late in drafts.

I think we have enough evidence now (a number of years) to say that there is no such thing as a "workhorse" in Denver anymore.

This year will be the same.

I see a pretty even split between Selvin and Andre... something like one will get 15-20 touches while the other will get 12-15 touches. Pittman will probably get a handful of touches per game as well. But I think who gets the most touches will likely vary from week to week. And Hall is the goal line back from what I've heard, so I don't see Selvin scoring more than 5 TDs. That said, I could see him getting close to 1000 yards and being a serviceable flex play.

this is how I see it.
