Cardinals :: RB

RB E.James Frustrated

Bob Mathews, Rochester Democrat & Chronicle - [Full Article]

Arizona RB Edgerrin James had his best game as a Cardinal with 94 yards rushing and a touchdown, but the former star in Indianapolis doesn't think he's being used to the best of his abilities. "I was brought here to run the ball and help, and a lot of times I'm out there and I'm really not part of it," he said. James is averaging 77 yards per game and 3.5 yards per carry, a far cry from his 97 yards and 4.2 career averages respectively

:cry:

The crying has already started in Arizona for Edgerrin! Can't say I'm surprised though, since he's always been out to play for himself. What happend to the great attitude he had in training camp and how he was excited to help out the team?

Hopefully many FF players were not fooled into thinking he was going to be a top 10 back / RB1 for this season, considering how awful the ARI line has been in the past.

The Edge hasn't been the same since his injury. He just doesn't have the burst anymore. He runs hard and blocks, but he has never seemed to be the team guy.

It's not been pretty but he is the 6th best RB in my scoring system. Not bad for the 9th pick overall.

Caddy on the other hand :cry:

What the heck is anyone down on Edge about?

Edge is #7 in RB scoring in my league. I drafted him #8 & am very happy with that. He is doing better than Tiki, Alexander, Ronnie Brown, & S-Jax; who were all likely drafted before Edge.

Unless you were expecting a 1700 yard & 20 TD season, you should be pleased so far. If you take Edge's stats thru 3 games & project it over a full season, you get: 363 carries for 1,232 yards. 59 receptions for 272 yards. 11 TDs. That's right about what I expected for the year.

All this with Warner losing about 1 fumble per game & throwing 4 picks (3 of which were in the red zone). The numbers will only get better for Edge when Denny realizes he needs to lean on him to keep Warner from turining it over.

That last Fubmle might cost me the game. Edge was for sure going to lock up another 2 points for me and I still think he would scored on that drive.
