Let's play a game.

Program a robot to play Rock-Paper-Scissors in a winner take all Single Elimination Tournament. I will take all submissions, announce them in thread, and then play the battles out.

RPS Battle Programs can be

7 actions (1. Rock 2. Paper 3. Rock etc)

Conditionally programmed (1. Rock 2. Opponent's 1. Action etc)

If I get a ton of submissions, yes it could take a freaking while to calculate, but such is life and I'm in a giving mood - it's Christmas!

Important edit, if I get even 16 submissions, calculation time would be nauseating. I'm switching to a Single-Elimination Tournament!

If you tie, we start over at 1. in your instructions and continue until someone wins a throw. If it remains a tie... allow me to introduce my robot the IRON MAIDEN! She throws Rock like nobody's business and will break ties.

My tiebreaker robot, IRON MAIDEN, has the following program:

1. ROCK

2. ROCK

3. ROCK

4. ROCK

5. ROCK

6. ROCK

7. ROCK

Now if you wanted to combat such straightforward strategies, you might submit the following:

1. ROCK

2. PAPER

3-7. IF opponent has thrown two of the same in a row, THEN whatever beats that throw ELSE continue ROCK then PAPER

Any non-standard* throw by your robot will be randomized. Standard throws are ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS.

I think this discriminates against the Irish.  

I also was picturing my robot as a female so I'm not so comfortable with girth as a measurement.
