The Jets can't get a break? (1 Viewer)

It really doesn't add up or make any sense... Hey, if there's concrete evidence and the Jets lose a draft pick - so be it. You wouldn't see me spending time trying to twist or defend such a thing.....

What I think is happening is the Jets are the obvious team that needs a WR. Every single WR available has been linked to the Jets.. So, when the desperate agent needs something to hang his hat on, of course the Jets are going to be the 1st team people think of...

But, why would the Jets look to spend 40 mil on a guy that obviously doesn't seem like the best team player.. The Jets have a Leon contract to worry about.. A Darel Revis contract on the horizon.. Players they know, love and NEED... For the life of me, I can't imagine seriously wanting Crabtree at this point....And to promise him Money and getting picked in NEXT years draft....Really? does that make any sense at all?

Sounds like the biggest boneheaded idea regarding the NFL I ever heard of.

Whatever, it'll play out and if there's evidence at all, I'd think Tannenbaum was a moron and I'd rail on him more than even the haters....

Between Crabgate and O'Connel sharing signals with the coaches I'm not sure how you could be questioning the Jets getting a break.
Link please??? Or is this just more speculation?

pull your head out of....er.....let's say the sand.

This week Ryan used former Patriots QB and Tom Brady understudy Kevin O'Connell to prepare for the Pats. Team sources told FOXSports.com that Ryan took O'Connell and pretty much passed him around from coach to coach this week to give a group-by-group tutorial of New England's tendencies.

In fact, he was so helpful that Ryan named O'Connell team captain for today's game. That's right, a No. 3 QB as team captain.

There is a difference between "sharing signals" and discussing tendencies. In any case, neither is illegal, and former players share the tendencies of their former teams all the time. And for the record, Rex names different captains each week, and last week, 3 of the 4 captains were former Patriots (Woody, Izzo, O'Connell)...it had nothing to do with him being "so helpful" as you claim. Don't hate because they beat your team...

I couldn't agree more with you, despite the fact I'm not a big fan of the Pats. I was already intending on posting that O'Connell was named a team captain more since he was released by the Pats than because he was a significant contributor to their preparation. I'm sure he shared whatever he knowed, but I'm also pretty sure Belicheck wouldn't release a QB that new the game plan prior to playing a division opponent if he thought he knew enough to make a difference. Add to the whole situation that Rex Ryan is out of his mind and doing everything he can to seem unconventional and mess with his opponents (including texting opposing WR's, ie. Welker) this is a complete non story, let alone a debatable discussion board topic.

These dots don't connect at all.The 49ers actually did "tamper" (Briggs) when signing a player and got penalized a 5th round draft pick

The Pats were convicted of breaking rules in Spygate and got charged a 1st round draft pick.

The Jets have been "rumored" to maybe have tampered with a player that they have not signed and likely won't.

Judge these 3 instances by the penalties assessed and that will best define the seriousness of the transgression.

I hate because they're a bunch of cheaters led by an enormous d-bag, and their fanbase is obnoxious.the competition, I like --- it's a little more satisfying when you can take a legit division that's not made up entirely of losers and chokers.

enjoy your week 2 superbowl victory.
