Before we go too much further it needs to be said that Pulp are the undisputed kings of britpop. I will post a bunch of their stuff at some point if no one beats me to it but in the meantime, I'll go with stuff a bit less known to spread the love.

Underrated band. They cross a lot of genres (also clearly emo, power pop) and have die hard fans, also I think 20 years from now, "The Middle" will probably hold up/get more airplay vs. just about anything mainstream from the late 90s/early 00s
