The most pathetic woman at Santa Clara Costco on January 4, 2018 (1 Viewer)

You guys return your dead Christmas trees too in January? Just being smart consumers, I guess.

Maybe most pathetic woman in that specific Costco that day...but even then, probably some decent competitors throughout the afternoon; I'm sure there was a scene caused at one of the food sample stations

I think women that torture animals or kill their kids are more pathetic but that just might be me.

We used to leave Sears brand hoses outside throughout the Winter.  They would dry rot and we would return them in Spring.  That was the gift that kept on giving.  It was their policy.     Christmas tree return?  That’s brilliant!

Costco return policy is so good because no money ever comes out of Costco's pockets.  Costco has such great buying power and make their chosen suppliers so much money that anything returned is credited by their suppliers.  If they sold Costco 50K trees and a some get returned it does not matter.  Same goes with TVs, blenders whatever.

I am speechless.  What in the world is wrong with people?  I was working at a volunteer event for work over xmas that was giving away free turkeys for low income families.  I swear, 50% of the people that were requesting assistance drove a nicer/newer car than I have.  Never again will I donate my time or money.  There are too many people abusing the system these days.

Really?  That's disgusting.

Allowing people to return dead Christmas trees after New Year's Day is sub-awesome to me.
Besides the point.  Costco seems to be fine with it.  They start restricting that and then the flood gates open up and they become like every other crap store.

Seems like a smart and bold woman. Her aggressive and innovative thinking should get her a promotion at work.

I recall seeing a post hole digger covered in dirt returned back in the day when I worked at a hardware store. #YoungPopeye

This was me a few years ago. I gave all the time, but found that people who didn't need the handouts were standing there with their hand, indeed, out.

Our priorities are all out of whack. The humility of being on welfare is far less than not having a nice car or phone. And it's no longer a stop gap thing to get people back on their feet. Now it's part of too many people's income.

And the whole idea is baffling. To get people to change their ways and improve themselves is done by making the uncomfortable not making them comfortable.

Maybe they're broke because of their high car payments.

I once went to the butcher shop to buy something and watched a well dressed attractive blonde lady driving a late model Mercedes come in and pay with food stamps.

speaking of costco christmas trees, at first i was less than thrilled with the tree i got this year.   when i undid the twine, a crap ton of needles fell and it looked a little dry.  its hung in there and luckily none of us are too particular about having the perfect tree, but if i knew it wasn't going to be such a royal pita to return it, i might have considered it.

now these rhododendrons i bought last spring, 2 out of the five looked pretty dead come late fall.  if those babies don't come back to life, you bet your keyster i'm bringing them back for some replacements.   there's a reason why i bought stuff like that from costco.  i did everything i was supposed to do.  my conscience is clear.

I tell you, nothing really captures the joy and spirit of picking out the family Christmas tree like a trip to Costco.
I chuckled out loud to this... Although, honestly, Home Depot is pretty enjoyable for our family. People set up huge tree stands on every other corner in my neighborhood, they mainly come from Canada and they price gouge the ####### daylights out of us. 3 years ago, I asked for a 7 foot tree, guy tells me $150 - it's been HD since then for us.

It's got this two level garage and the area where the trees are is covered, yet still outdoors. They've got about 10-15 employees who trim the trees, cut the stubs, and tie them to ruff of your car.

Selection is amazing, they must have 1,000 trees - we enjoy going there, my older son went through a bunch of them this year and picked a good one.

I think we all know poor people on welfare aren't really poor. They just do it for the lolz and so they can blow their paychecks on crack cocaine and the latest cell phones.

you can't get much more christmasy than pulling up to an 18 wheeler filled to the brim with trees in a dark parking lot and having some stranger throw a tree into your truck.  I've bought most of my weed under better circumstances.

It's like stealing Wi-Fi.

Some people do/did that and are proud of it and think it's being a smart consumer.

I think lhucks did that if memory serves me correctly.

At least 20% of the population is awful. This really isn't news to me.

Every day, I see multiple examples of inconsiderate, prickish behavior that I would never even think about trying. Its mostly little stuff, but the bottom line is that there are lots and lots of #######s out there. And then they have ####### kids.
