Given my desperate need for a QB, have a look at my roster (in my sig) and tell me what you think.

All answers appreciated!

Do the same thing the Lions did. Draft the future super-star even though you have needs at other positions. Maybe try to deal some of your other WR's for a QB prospect.

Unless you are a hella-salesman, one trade isn't going to fix that team. Not sure why Brandon Jackson is even in the equation. I'd go with Calvin Johnson and make my next order of business trying to trade up to get Brady Quinn or Kenny Irons. With a high second rounder (unless it is 16+ team league) you have something to package to get to around 8 if Quinn is still there.

Oh, man, I know that. I took over an abandoned franchise two years ago, have done pretty well in upgrading and I'm STILL looking at this.It is a 12-team league with a three-round rookie draft. I was offered the 1.10, 2.10 and McNabb for the pick. I don't think that's a horrible deal considering I might be able to package the two picks for a higher first-rounder and have McNabb on the team.

I tried to vote "please post Assistant Coach questions in the Assistant Coach Forum", but I can't find that option.

Draft Calvin johnson! You could try using your send round pick and say Donte Stallworth to trade for an established QB or pick Stanton or another rookie QB yourself. Don't panic, it takes time to build a good team.

I voted Lynch but can see either Calvin or Lynch.

You need to clean out some of that QB baggage. You can only start 1 and it looks like you have 7 on your roster. Get rid of some of them.

Thanks for the input, folks. I'm still trying to deal the pick (our draft was delayed, so I have until tomorrow to work out a trade). I've been offered the 1.10, 2.10 and McNabb for the 1.02. I don't think that's a bad deal, as I get another QB to go with Delhomme (and can dump QBs, Warhogs) and should be able to either pick up a WR later or try to deal up.

We'll also be going to two starting RBs and WRs next season, trader.

Harry, Priest is sitting there from the end of last season as just a flyer. He'll go at the end of the rookie draft for an FA.

SSOG, I tried to find the "respond nicely to a sarcastic post" option in the PMs, but it doesn't exist. If the mods want to move this, I'd appreciate it and I'll know for next time.

Ok this is what I think: 1. Draft Calvin Johnson2. Try to trade Stallworth for Brodie Croyle 3. Trade Anderson and Frye for a draft pick(s) to the Quinn owner4. Cut Bledsoe, Holmes, Reshard Lee, and Fargas

You are 2-3 years at best from competing for a championship. You would be best off sucking another year and getting the 1.1 or 1.2 rookie pick next year as well.

WR's usually take longer to make an impact....so draft Calvin Johnson. Trade Randy Moss for some rookie picks and grab a QB or two to develop. By the time your team is good enough to compete...Randy Moss won't be very useful so you should move him now while his value is the highest it's been in a year or two.

I would also move Rudi Johnson now since he could be backing up Irons by the time your team is decent....2008 or 2009. McAllister's production is only going to go down from here on out and I would consider trading him as well. What I do in dynast leagues is guage if I have a chance with my roster to win a title in the next year or two. If I honestly don't beleive I do...I trade off all my older guys that have hit the peak of their value for younger players and or picks.

It's time to gut your team.

This should be in the AC Forum.

Fargas may have value with Rhodes suspended and M. Bush still hurting.

I don't think you are as bad off at QB as you seem to think, Delhomme and Jason Campbell should be a decent QBBC option tihs year IMHO. Take Johnson and be happy.

Yeah, but would you make that trade for the 1.10, 2.10 and McNabb, and then try to flip either he or Delhomme for another pick?

Fargas may have value if the league was starting 3 RBs instead of 1.
