Not quite what I'm saying besides how do the Colts have 2 guys within spitting distance of 1,000 yard receiving seasons, a plausible running game, and only have 2 wins? I am not a hardcore Giants fan, this thread was really in response to the DET thread and people wanting the Giants over the Cowboy's. I would also say remember all those pesky Giant losses in 2009.

I don't agree with that statement and in fact most of the Eagle's wins against NYG have been exactly because the Giants haven't played their "A" game.I don't know what kind of "sense" this thread should make anyway, we are talking about (a) future event(s); I, unfortunately, don't have any better sources on those than anybody else.

I know why everyone is reading into this as I am a Giant's homer but I'm not (PIT is my team); just trying to point out that they are a very good team and if they play like they can, watch-out.

Even many of the Giants wins this years have been ugly - Rams, Cardinals, and Dolphins were all pretty ugly wins.

Yes, I agree, if the Giants played like they are capable this year they would've run away with the division. At least part of why I started this thread is to lay the groundwork for the "what decision the Giants make on Coughlin", thread; they are either going to sign him to a 2 year extension or fire him. If NYG has a good run it is going to be very hard for the Giants hierarchy to push him out the door but I think the players want him gone and they lay down in games.

I would say 49ers at 5, forgot them. It is easy to do. They have a small chance. The Pats are pretenders that defense is horrible, I mean horrible. They are going no where.

I will reiterate this, I am not a Giant homer so take this for what it is: NYG already beat NE, would crush DEN, OAK and HOU; SEA, ATL, DET, DAL, and probably SF are about NYG equals; PIT and BAL would be tough games for them to win unless they played great; GB and NO would be nearly impossible for them to win at.By team:

[*]NE - is not that good period; their defense is very suspect.

[*]DEN - Could never hang the amount of points needed to stay even.

[*]OAK - is still trying to find itself.

[*]HOU - Really, this team is so dangerous without Schaub; they been stumbling since he went down.

[*]SEA - should never of beat the NYG the first time.

[*]ATL - if ATL plays their "A" game they probably win.

[*]DET - has been shaky ever since Best went down.

[*]DAL - Their "A" game is probably equal to NYG's "A".

[*]SF - barely beat a NYG team that did not have Bradshaw and had a pouting Jacobs. I honestly don't think SFO could beat them twice in a season.

[*]PIT - if healthy would cause problems for NYG

[*]BAL - I think is a notch below PIT (I know they are 2-0 vs. PIT) but probably better than NYG.

[*]GB - Barely beat NYG and certainly couldn't stop their offense.

[*]NO - Has beat the Giants like a drum for the last few years.

As a Giants fan I don't feel good about the Saints, but I would give us a fighting chance in every game. When our pass rush gets going with just the front 4 watch out. If Osi makes it back for this game you are talking 3 top 15 DEs that can rotate (along with Kiwi who is a top 25 a Dave Tollefson who could start on some teams) along with an impressive rotation of DTs. If they can get pressure with just those 4 watch out guys.

You could just as easily say this about the Cowboys. Arguably they should have/could have won every game they played except for the Philly games. Blew double digit 4Q leads against the Jets, Lions, & Giants; took a game-winning FG off the board by icing their own kicker; and played conservative with 3 rushes before punting to Tom Brady with 2:30 and a 3 point lead. Of course NYG has played a tougher schedule (Pack/Saints vs Lions/Bucs) but I'm not sure they've "looked" much better than Dallas. I think ideally they're both 9-11 win teams whose defenses are too leaky and offenses too inconsistent to be a top 3 team in either conference.

I agree with this. There is a lot of talent on NYG, and on DAL for that matter; when I hear people saying teams that are so one dimensional because of injuries, or whatever, being comparable I just shake my head.

Their offense is very efficient.
