I read this really insightful Twitter thread a couple of weeks back and would kill to find it again.
This year seems to really mark a full swinging of the pendulum if you will. Defenses are going smaller and utilizing 2 high safeties more often. This I guess limits the big passing plays and takes away some of the power of your 250 million dollar QB's.
Offenses have adjusted to running the ball more. I assume that leads to Tight ends blocking more. And now our tight ends are inconsistent and some weeks useless.
Someone smarter than me, please speak on it. I think there's really valuable insight.
