You spend 6+ months studying, analyzing, scrutinizing sweating over every minute detail, every practice report, every cryptic tweet at 3am trying to stay in the hunt. You pour countless hours with some of the most mind numbingly in depth statistics just try to find that one edge over your opponent each week. Scraping and clawing your way agonizingly to the dance.
Then it's unceremoniously ended in a weekend. Months of seemingly hard work now amount to squat. No one will remember the epic plays you made. The start sits. The early week pick ups. They diamond mining in the late rounds. It all ends up in the trash heap of history.
Then after we spend the next few months crawling out of this dark malaise, we begin the ascent again. The peak of the mountain off in the distance shines brighter than ever and we will reach it this time.
