The Priest's sermon (1 Viewer)

How many touchdowns do you all foresee? I'd say if he makes it out of training camp, and takes over the starting RB position, he'll probably get around 4-7 TDs this year. Which isn't to bad. I'd take him as my #3 RB, if he's in shape.

Ugh, please read the article before posting about it. He will NOT take over the starting RB situation :goodposting:

I am starting to get the feeling that Priest is maybe doing all of this to help Peterson or the Chiefs leverage LJ. Just a gut feeling, but If LJ signs soon, I'd be suprised if Priest is ever taken off of PUP.

Then again, what do I Know?

:lmao:

That has been the thought of about 99% of the people on this forum :nerd:

Wow, reading comprehension my friend. There is no 100% guarantee that Priest won't take over the starting RB spot for the Chiefs. Second, my response to the article was filled with IFS and MAYBES. I know he's been out of football for awhile and I'm fully aware that Larry Johnson could come back today and resume his duties as the starting RB. I'm not that naive.

Really? I hadn't seen it, but then again, I don't live on these boards like I used to.

Why would Priest give a rat's ### about giving the Chiefs leverage over LJ? If it's about money, it's about Priest's wallet, not the Chiefs or LJ.

Could be anything. Maybe he doesn't like LJ, maybe he's a big Chiefs fan, or he could be doing it as a favor for one of the owners. Who knows but none of it is that much less likely than a 34 yr old risking paralysis, when he'll get paid the same either way.

What I found interesting in the article is that they feel he still has a little burst...usually in situations like this they talk about having to catch up physically, not mentally.

I like Priest. But I really, REALLY hope he does not come back. I would absolutely hate to see him come back, take a hit and seriously injure himself for the rest of his life.

Chiefs RB Holmes Sends Message To RB Johnson

Associated Press via ESPN - [Full Article]

After his first practice in pads yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs RB Priest Holmes said he's ready to fill RB Larry Johnson's shoes -- at least financially. "Somebody has to get the money," he said. "Hey, if L.J. wants to leave the money out there, guess I'm going to take it.

I don't think he will ever be the starter again. Like on Hard Knocks I think he will be more of a 3rd down back (350 yards and 4 or 5 TD's).

It's because he is ticked that LT2 ate his single season TD record for lunch.

Do you think they may showcase him as a goalline back ala Bettis and Dillon during their last years? I know with the neck injury they may be leary, but he does have a nose for the endzone.
