The Schwarb-O-Meter: Party At Napoli's. You'll Never Believe Who's There (1 Viewer)

Mendoza Monday delayed because of the holiday and that extra day allowed a couple of players to get over the line.

Schwarber goes 1-19 over the 8 days and falls to .173. Maddon's being ridiculous keeping this guy in the top of the lineup, but he's the greatest manager ever, so who am i to question him?

Obviously no pitchers have enough PAs to qualify, but among pitchers with at least 20 PAs, there are 9 that are hitting higher than Schwarber's .173

Uggla's decline was pretty bad but it's easy to forget how productive he was in his prime.  Uggla averaged 32 HR over his first six seasons.   He wasn't very good at 2B but it's not like Florida had anybody better to stick out there.

Its takes the BA plummeting all the way down to .165 for Genius Joe to finally start carrying about the team instead of Theo's pet project. Our hero is batting 7th today which is the first time he's hit lower than 3rd all year.

Blach has only had one poor start (a 10 run stinker vs. the Reds) since taking Bumgarner's slot in the rotation.  He's a crafty lefty so his strikeout numbers are never going to be great in fantasy but he's a viable streaming option when pitching at home, SD or LA.

1 Ryan Schimpf .161

2 Kyle Schwarber 165

3 Alex Gordon .173

4 Alcides Escobar .179

5 Jose Reyes .190

6 Mike Napoli .192

7 Dansby Swanson .193

8 Byron Buxton .193

9 Matt Joyce .195

10 Todd Frazier .195

1 Kyle Schwarber Cubs .171

2 Alcides Escobar Royals .180

3 Alex Gordon Royals .181

4 Jose Reyes Mets .186

5 Mike Napoli Rangers .192

6 Matt Joyce Athletics .194

Looks like Schimpf doesn't qualify anymore and falls off, leaving Schwarbs as the worst hitter in baseball. Scwarbs might not even be a platoon guy either as he sits v RHP DeGrom tonight, so he's probably chasing the only way for him off of this list and that's not qualifying anymore.

Buxton, Frazier, Swanson earn their way off the island

Schwarber .174

Reyes - .193

Gallo - .194

Gordon - .194

Escobar - .194

Napoli - .199

Joyce no longer has enough PAs, but Joey Gallo reappears and keeps it at 6.

SchwAAAber still qualifying and still has worst BA in MLB @ .171

Gallo - .192

Napoli - .193

Buxton - .195

Alex Gordon - .198

Buxton runs a hot streak to get all the way up to .216 so he's off the list at the ASB

Schwarber's still the worst in the biz, but improved to .178

Napoli, Gallo and Gordon all still under.

Schwarbs no longer has enough PAs to qualify, but he's still @ .191

The tide brought Napoli (.197)and Alex Gordon (.198) back to the island.

Almost roll call time. There are currently 33 qualified hitters at .200 or below, but we won't call them out by name.....yet.
