FBG is a one stop shop, & offers insights into prospects from a lot of directions...

some information is more scouting based (like bloom & cecil's columns on dynasty)...

some more scheme-driven (jene & norton)

& other sources statistical & historical (drinen & dodds)

(& this isn't to imply all these staff writers aren't generalists & well rounded, just that they may look at things from a particular perspective in some of their work)...

the most powerful way to use these tools would be in concert (many do this already)...

i wrote an article recently on scouting, & listed 21 factors to look at, but it seems like even breaking it down far simpler to three categories could cover a lot of ground within that scope...

Hey Bob,

I love your guys' work, so take this as a constructive suggestion.

I remain baffled as to why the IDP stats and rankings do not break out DT's from DE's (as opposed to DL's) and S's from CB's (as opposed to DB's). If the stats are already being projected, why not break out those positions to make it easier for IDP'ers like me whose IDP leagues recognize those distinctions?

thanx for the feedback, redman...i'm a fan of your work as well (as well as occasional invaluable comic relief )...i completely agree & will pass the request along... except for FBG staff leagues, all my IDP dynasty leagues split up DE/DT & S/CB, & must start (at least) 1 DT & 2 CBs...that is one reason i try & mention prominent DTs & CBs in my in-season column, for the many that play in those kind of leagues... also, sometimes they are so good they outscore DE/safety peers, even in leagues that DON"T break out that positional scoring separately...
