The leader of the Orphans always looked familiar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjsEaRqW8JA - 0:32 mark), but can't place him.

Looks like Eric Begosian, but not so via IMDB search. IMDB also doesn't identify which one is the leader. <_<
It is Paul Greco accoring to this site

http://warriorsmovie.co.uk/cast

Paul’s last acting appearance was in The Miracle of Bern (2003). Prior to that, he appeared in several films in 1996 and 1997, including The Cable Guy (1996) as Raul (who sings karaoke). He was also seen as a New Yorker in Crocodile Dundee (1986).

Paul passed away on December 17th 2008 from lung cancer.
Good find - thanks.

Couple of the Warriors also reminded me of a few of players from The White Shadow, which was on at the same time. Snow looks like Hayward, and Vermin looked like Salami's cousin.

didnt realize Ajax is Dexter's dad until my GF pointed it out last night :bag:
Remar! His greatest role was as the villain Ganz in 48 Hours.

The guy who played Luther was also in both those movies - he played Luther in The Warriors and he played Luther in 48 Hours.

Just realized Luther was in Commando. Schwarzenegger rolled his Porshce over, then held him over the canyon with one arm before letting him go.

Warriors on IFC right now. Will be repeated at 10PM EST.
Caught it twice last night even though I own two versions of the DVD and have seen it 100 times. For a serious Film buff, this movie is my guilty pleasure and in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. I saw it in the theater in 1979. Loved it.

Every time I see that guy I think of the lead singer from Dexys Midnight Runners.

Loved it as a 13-year-old when it came out. Showed it to my 13-year-old a couple of years ago - he liked it, though he definitely thought the roller skating gang and even the face makeup of

the Baseball Furies was a little soft.

But his main issue was "So, in all the gangs in all of New York, there's only one guy with a gun,

and it's a tiny little pistol?"
You hit on the key to liking this movie, watching it at a certain age.
I disagree. I watched it last year for the first time at 40 and thought it was great - as a comedy.

Definite cult classic! Must've watched this movie 20+ times back in the day.

The Wanderers is another gem from my childhood.
