In the last two days we lost our endearing term for the former President and today we lost laughter (yes the laughing reaction is gone).  Can we agree on bofff sidezzz to be better and not mash the report button on harmless things and annoy the FBG brass?  Let’s all work to be better because once we kill off laughter, what’s the point?

I don't post here much due to the sheer insanity......but I believe the point was lost a while back.

The problem isn't that things are going away.  The problem is too many posters can't act respectfully to people who disagree with them politically.

Never reported a thread, never ignored a poster. Been here almost 18 years.

I personally try to not take anything personally, from my personal perspective.

I know...the whole thing is funny.  It really is.  From even having them...to people being annoyed by them...to people being annoyed we lost something we previously did not have.

Is the lack of a little smiling guy really going to change much of anything either way?  Nah...seemed Joe already said why in another thread..and then locked it.  Guessing this thread gets the same thing soon.

So…it was YOU.
Nope.  Though interesting that it was complained about when I used to use the laugh guy and not respond.  To the point a mod (IIRC it was MT) said that it was best not to use it as form of response.  I quit using it like that unless it was literally to let a person know their funny post...was actually funny.  Similar to how I was told not to post falsehood...and the people that complained most about that, still use it in the same manner I had.  But no...wasn't me...didn't report it..didn't care...didn't complain about it to moderation.

See, now you're banned. Only Happy Holidays is allowed.
Good stuff, I went straight for the laughing emoji but…… :lmao:

I personally believe in freedom of expression and am against censorship but honestly if some were so sensitive and triggered that they reported emojis it may be for the best that it’s gone. We don’t want anyone hurt here, especially not from a smiley face!

Probably my fault. I gave Joe a laugher the other day and he called me out on it. Sorry everyone.

I don't think so. Lots of people were doing this. For your post, "called out" seems overly sensitive. I said,

You're welcome to estimate too @dozer if you'd rather contribute instead of just posting a laughing emoji.

I hope all our posters will contribute positively.

People ignored us repeatedly asking posters not to use it in a negative way to laugh at other people.

At some point, it becomes clear people are going to ignore us asking.

If you like something or think something is funny, use the like emoji.

And to be fair, this was mostly (but not exclusively) in the Political Forum where people are regularly uncool to each other with this.

Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to change the allowable emojis for different forums.
