Thinking Ahead - Ben Watson (1 Viewer)

With Melvin Gordon returning to action I think it may be best for me to drop Jackson or Jordan Howard and pickup Ben Watson.

Watson has been suspended so he's an under the radar pickup right now in our league (14 teams, PPR). I currently have Zach Ertz in my TE position.

I should have already dropped Howard but I've been trying to trade him away hoping to get almost anything in return.

With the way the Pats used Gronk and Hernendez over the years I can't imagine Watson not having some value. 

Any thoughts from the community? Am I chasing a lost cause?

Watson isn't a bad pickup if you're desperate for a backup TE. I'd drop Jackson before Howard. If you're adamant about trading Howard then now is the time to sell high after his game last night. It wouldn't hurt to shop Jackson right now for a small upgrade somewhere while trying to convince another owner that Jackson will get a ton of garbage time stats this week when the Chargers blow out the Dolphins. Try a Jackson + player for a slightly better player type trade. If you can pull that off you can pick up Watson for free off the waiver wire to backfill your roster.

Jackson is out & nursing an injury.  I don't think you will get any takers on a trade for him.  So if you want Watson, that is the easy drop choice (IMO).  After Howard's thursday night game, would still make him available & see if you get any offers
