This is obvious, right? (1 Viewer)

I've been offered Pujols and Zimmerman for ARod and Prince Fielder.

It's a points-based, HtH league, with pretty basic scoring.

Obviously, he's panicking with Albert's slow start, and this is obvious, especially since I can start Chipper, right?

I don't think it's obvious. There's a good chance that ARod finishes the year with better numbers than the Pooman and Fielder outperforms Zimmerman. I'd try to squeeze this guy for more.

 I like the ARod side better
Awesome.Good to know. I highly disagree, but it's good to know people are thinking this way. It's interesting, maybe we can get into a debate about sample sizes. Pujols was the first pick in nearly every draft this year. Are you saying that changes if everything was drafted over today? After just two weeks?

I'm not sure about Fielder vs Zimmerman but I'll take ARod over Pujols simply because of the guys the Yankees have in the lineup vs the guys the Cardinals have. You can't really pitch around ARod and his RBI opportunities are going to dwarf Albert's.

Let's not forget that last year these 2 were a tossup for the #1 pick and that was when Edmonds and Rolen were studs protecting Pujols in the lineup. ARod hasn't lost any skills since then, he just had a mental breakdown last year.

Arod is playing in a loaded lineup and seems to be on a mission this year. Remember, it wasn't too long ago when Arod was considered to be the consensus # 1 overall pick. Pujols is a great player who will turn it around but his lineup isn't as potent. Honestly, I'd rather have Arod for this year.ETA...Didn't even read Warehouse's post but just realized I basically reiterated it.

Depends on whether you like Zimmerman more than Fielder, IMO. I like Fielder to the degree that I would prefer the ARod/Fielder side of it.

With the way A-Rod is hitting it does change. Arod's a guy that's always had the talent to be the best player in baseball, but psychologically wasn't there. Now it looks like he's back.Pujols has had roids rumors and some people have been saying he looks smaller this season. He'll definately improve, but it's unclear if we'll see the same Pujols as we did in 05/06

I'll say this - if you had a draft today, A-Rod would certainly be at least the 2nd overall pick. THAT has changed in 2 weeks.

God, here we go.......Come on.Its a 2/3 week sample size. Pujols will be FINE. A-Rod is looking like a Monster this year......but both are about as close to a wash as they come.

I agree with several others here.....it boils down to who you like more, Fielder or Zimmerman.

 :) :lmao: really?

one of the idiot talking heads on ESPN is recommedning "selling high" on A-Rod - he said he would take Pronk + Zimmerman.

FWIW (which is not much).
