This is why I hate fantasy football (1 Viewer)

As a browns fan, it seriously makes me irritated that they won last night. What the hell does 2 wins give us other than a drop from #1 overall draft pick to #4 spot currently?
A big rivalry win like this should make Mangini's grip on the job a little tighter, so you've got that going for you.

Mendenhall only had 3 100+ yard games and only 4 games with TDs in them. He wasn't the reason you made the playoffs I'm sure
He has 5 100+ yardage games (& 0ne for 93 yards) in 10 games and is a big part of the reason many people are either in the playoffs or on the doorstep going into this week.

I couldn't disagree more with "big part" or "reason" and you had to go to yardage-combined rush+rec to make your point. The 8th best RB in the NFL is eh in a 12 team FF league as a #1RB but I'm figuring he's a team's #2 RB based upon where he was drafted. If so....ADP, CJ, Brees....someone else is the "big part" or "reason" they're in the playoffs IMO.7 weeks, Mendenhall did not get 70 yards rushing. In this week to week hobby that hurts more than his 155 and 165 yard performances helps. (2-7)I suppose a well rounded team isn't really possible in this discussion

What do you mean "had to"? You omitted what is a very important piece of information (I would argue for the same reasons that you accuse me of adding the info) how many leagues don't count receiving yardage for running backs? He is putting up 10 points per game, which is good for 32 overall in my league (13th overall RB).That is precisely the type of production from a late round pick that propels teams to fantasy playoffs. Perhaps those points come directly in your lineup as a starter or as a trade commodity. Either way if you cannot significantly benefit from that type of production you're doing it wrong. If you have AP, CJ & MJD then perhaps you don't need a guy like Mendenhall but how many teams drafted LT, Forte, Westbrook, Portis, MBIII, Slaton, Grant, Jackson, McFadden, Pierre Thomas, Kevin Smith, Jacobs etc. long before Mendenhall and could use that type of production? He has been a huge acquisition for multiple fantasy teams.

agreed. Finding the gems like Mendy are really what make/break FF seasons, because in teh early rounds, you pretty much follow the ADP on guys, give or take a few positions based on preferences and what you drafted earlier in the draft etc. Mendy has indeed been a huge part of propelling me to the playoffs in 2 leagues, and especially so in 1 league where I went Brady/Moss 1st two rounds, and was light on RBs all year. The other league, I drafted LT in 1st round, though have been pretty rich at RB all year with trades and such. However, having mendy allowed me to trade away Marion Barber when he had some value, as well as JStewart. So yea, discounting what mendy has done this year shows an individual doesn't actually understand what makes or breaks FF seasons...
