This Weeks Footballguys Rankings (1 Viewer)

Pitt is playing Cin this week and the Bengals have no Defense. Pennington had a great game throwing into the Bengals "D". This is what confuses me. I can see Big Ben or FWP having a big game but not both of them together. The way the Pitt offense is setup I can see either one having a big week but not both. Please tell me what I am missing.

I cant speak for Dodds, but here's my take: The likelihood is that at least one of Parker or Big Ben will have a big statistic day. The projections split the difference so that the opportunity to have a big day is reflected in both's numbers. You're right that it's more likely that one finishes top 1 or 2, and the other finishes in the 7-12 range, but since we don't know who both end up pretty high.

I look at it as though last week both Parker and Ben could have been top 5 if Fast Willie would have had one of the TDs last week ... and this was against Denver, not Cincinnati.

Not sure I find this so hard to believe. You don't think Pitt can put up 35 on the Bengals? Not predicting it, but I wouldn't be shocked with:

Ben 300/3 TD = 24

FWP 130(AP)/1TD = 19

Now, I don't see the sheets, so I don't know if they're saying more or less, but is the above hard to fathom? I don't think so, and that's a good day for both. Would those numbers make them top 5 in the rankings?

I'm starting both of them. Whatever one does not get, the other should... (keep out of this, Davenport---I'm warning you!)

 I'm so confident that the Steelers OWN the Bengals that I'm giving serious consideration to starting both Parker and Davenport, who I have on my roster as an injury handcuff.

Disclaimer: I'm a long-time Bengals homer, who's notorious for my inability to predict the Bengals week-to-week.
