Casting a ballot for this being the most pathetic reaching thread o' the year.....
Whatever you say. All I'm saying is the projections aren't worth the membership fee.
Lets see YOUR projections, I guarantee Dodds' will be more accurate and it won't be close. There is a reason why they play the game- noone knows what will happen on any given Sunday, but I must say that FBG does a pretty damn good job of GUESSING, and that is what it is, GUESSING.
I never said I could do better. I said that the projections that I pay for aren't very accurate. I believe I am entitled to my opinion as a paying customer for the past 4 years.
If you go out to dinner at a restaurant and are dissatisfied with the service, do you bring it to the attention of the manager of the establishment, or do you just go outside and complain about it to strangers in the parking lot? Translation: Nobody in the SP gives a #### that you started Cotchery in three leagues this week because you misused the projections. If you want your money back, you're asking the wrong people.
Going back and reading my posts. . .Let's see. . .NOPE, I never asked for my money back. Read what I wrote. Soak it in. Then try again.
Oh, even better. Then when you say "All I'm saying is the projections aren't worth the membership fee," you're just complaining for no reason whatsoever. When people venture onto this message board, they want to find football information, not a bunch of losers whining about FBG's. If it's not worth the money, then don't subscribe. If you're that hard up for $25 you should probably stop playing in three fantasy leagues and go get a job.
LOL, so now if I complain about a problem with a service that I have paid a $25 membership fee for, it means I must be unemployed. What if I bought a six-pack of beer for $8 and one of the beers was full of urine? Does that mean I shouldn't complain, because it only cost me $8? Again, I never said I wanted my money back. And you sure do seem to be spending a lot of time in a thread full of "whining about FBG's". There are plenty of other threads going right now if you want to jump in one of those.
Who would you complain to about this?
So in a thread about this week's rankings, I am not allowed to express my disappointment with the projections this season? If I wanted my money back, I would have taken it up with the owners of the site.

How in the hell can you say that he misused the projections?Unless he has a combination of the 7 guys ranked above him, using them, and using them correctly is exactly what he is #####ing about.

Wow, you're missing the point. The point is some of the ranking stink, going Cotchery over CJ is bad. Going Grossman over a top 3 QB of all time in his prime is bad. My original point is the ranking stunk of "yahoo" knee-jerk reaction where Peyton has a bad week and he's not even in the top 14 QBS. You barking at this other member about getting a job and unsubscribing is flat out lame, we pay money here and don't need trolls harrassing paying customers. The other poster is not ripping FBG, I am not ripping FBG. If you must have your nose up the staffs rear end so far you don't make sense go ahead and enjoy the smell.... You telling the last poster he is a loser and needs a job is WAY OUT OF LINE.
He may be a little out of line, but you have to understand that week after week seeing the same threads that say:"Footballguys told me to do this in the rankings and I lost, boo hoo hoo!! It is all their fault I lost not mine!!!!"Then 10 minutes later you will see the same posters in a thread touting their "genius" about how they had the foresight to start player X over player Y. I would imagine if you checked out the Kolby Smith thread, you will find some posters talking about how incredibly smart they are. Then in various other threads complaining about the rankings you will find posters complaining about how it is all FBGs fault they played a certain player. My problem is you can't have it both ways. If you want to complain about how you blindly followed the rankings in regards to player X and it burned you. Give credit where credit is due when player Y blows up and the only reason you started him was because of FBGs.

100% legit IMO to complain about rankings if you feel that way. But, I ask you, do you know of or think there's any place that does rankings better?I'm guessing not.You are focusing on one ranking that was bad because it affected your team/player.I'm assuming you don't expect FBGs to be 100% accurate with all of their forward looking rankings?Doesn't it seem silly to complain about one ranking that missed amongst 100s?... unless you've analyzed the other rankings over time and also found them to be bad?Any player in the NFL can go off on any given week. Or not.

That is the one ranking that I brought up, because that is the particular one that affected me this week. No way I would expect the projections to be 100% accurate, that is unreasonable. I always make my lineup based on my own opinions, and if I get stuck I use the projections for a last resort as to which guy to put in. It just seems like this year, whenever I have used the projections to make a final decision on someone on my roster, it has always ended up being the wrong choice. I know that there is a lot of luck involved, but it is something that I expect a certain degree of accuracy from. It really killed me this week, because I happened to have those two players in all three of the leagues I play in.However, I do not know of a place that does better projections. I just feel that I would have been better off if I never even looked at the weekly projections this year. But again, that was my own choice. Ultimately, it is my decision who I start on a weekly basis. I pay a lot of money in my leagues, and try to get the best information available in the world for when I have a tough decision. FBG's is my fantasy football "consultant", if you will. I come here every day for the latest info on all of my players. I just think it may be time for me to stop relying on the projections altogether.

I thought this whole thread started because some of the posters just wanted a one line write-up on why each play was ranked where.

Ok, so they rank Cothery high and Grossman over Manning. Great, just give a little bit of why.

I think that would help members make their lineup calls easier.

That is all people are asking for.

I would not mind that. But don't kid yourself, this thread started because some members wanted to blame their loss on FBGs projection.

Look at when the thread was started and rethink that.
