Thomas Jones, lack of chances or poor play? (1 Viewer)

I didn't get a chance to watch the NE/Jets game and would like some feedback. Was Jones not running well? NE defense too tough? Time to buy or sell?

He's a guy I had interest in going into the season but didn't manage to get him on any of my teams. I'm feeling like he might be a nice buy low option this week, but having not seen the game it's not a strong feeling:)

Help me out sharks.

Not a Jones owner but I didn't think he had much room to run. The Jets didn't really make a concerted effort to get him the ball consistently but when he did get the carries the Patriots were all over him. I wouldn't give up on him but if there's an owner in your league who has him and wants to dump him I'd certainly try to buy low. The greater concern with the Jets is Pennington's injury. I'm not sure Clemens is ready to be the guy just yet so if Pennington is out for any length of time it may be tough for Jones to get going if defenses decide to crowd the line and force Clemens to beat them through the air.

I watched the game, and he didnt have anywhere to run. The Jets have the Ravens next week so he could have another rough game. After that the schedule gets better

HUGE Jets homer here:

Our offensive line is an average-at-best pass blocking OLine and an absolutely terrible run-blocking OLine. I had the opportunity to draft Thomas Jones at least 15+ times between all the mock drafts I did, my real drafts I did, and the drafts I helped others with. I drafted him exactly ZERO times.

He'll get 1,000 yards this year, but it will be just over 1,000 yards and it will be due to a lot of carries and a low ypc average. I've had him topped off all offseason at 1,080 yards and 6-8 TDs.

I did not watch the game either, but from what i read i thought the Jets go so far down that they kind of went away from the run, The game plan got change from what the Patriots did, IMO

It's week one. Even though next week will be tough too. Actually the Jets have a very tough schedule this season. But I would not be in a panic just yet. If Chad is out though...that could be rough.
