Thoughts on BAL's offense going forward? (1 Viewer)

With the recent news of Lewis and Webb finished for the season, I think we're going to be looking at one of the worst defenses in the league. They were already uncharacteristically struggling mightily versus the run, giving up the 11th most fantasy points to RBs in the league. Now, their secondary is seemingly going to follow suit. Do you think BAL is going to get away with only allowing Flacco to toss the rock 26-27 times a game? I know he's largely inconstant, and I'm not saying he'll see a boost. I'm more concerned with volume and if it will allow more opportunities for Smith, Boldin, Pitta as BAL inevitable plays catch up. Thoughts?

Really? You don't think this might be a bit of an overreaction? Look at the running backs they have faced this year, Mccoy, T.Rich, Charles, Ridley and Demarco. That's some top tier talent right there. We won't be seeing the dominant defense of the past few years but this team is way too well-rounded to be dropping down to the ranks of the Saints and the Bills

BAL defense was overrated before the injuries. Now you can gouge them on the ground and in the air. Lewis before the injury was just a shell of himself. I won't say that BAL D will be one of the worst, but it's middle of the pack at best now.BAL is now going to have to score a lot of points to win. But they will also need to control the ball and keep their D off the field. Early in games, I see BAL giving Rice a ton of work, and getting Pierce more carries as well.....and having Flacco controlling the clock with short passes to the TEs and Boldin. If BAL gets behind, then you see Flacco start slinging the ball downfield.

So I would upgrade Rice, Pierce, Pitta, Flacco and Boldin, with Torrey Smith value being about the same. There will be games when BAL gets behind and Smith will have some big games.
