Who said they were the best team in baseball? I'm not a Yankee hater at all but they do have some fans who are complete #######s.Yankees injury depleted lineup about to sweep them in a 4 game series. Their rookie stud so far has allowed 4R to a lineup minus Jeter, Matsui, Sheffield. Damon missed yesterday and Rivera is out tonight as well. Yanks keep chuggin along!

Or Yankees are swell. Tigers have the best record but by no means are the best team. We fans are just happy to have a winning product. Plus we play three with the Red Sox this weekend. Would be nice as a Yankees fan to see them play better beginning tomorrow.

I'm a Yankee fan and even I can't get pumped by stomping Le Tigres in their house. I think it'd have been better for baseball if they took 3 of 4. As a Yank fan, I'm quite happy with a sweep, considering the depletions you mentioned, but it's not quite party time.

I'm a huge Tiger fan, and I accept the original point, regretfully. I believe it was ESPN or SI (or both?) that recently issued power rankings and had the Tigers on top. But now we're getting stomped in four straight by the Yanks. Very ouch, baby.

I think this was the meaning behind Shady's post. All of the talking heads have been saying that they were going to knock off the White Sox and could possibly win the AL. All of this was done before this very crucial stretch. Dropping 3 of 4 to the Yankees with their injuries and all does not bode wellGetting swept is very bad.
