RamsSome experts are ranking Hightower as a top 5-10 rb this week and I'm having a hard time believing it. Even if Beanie doesn't play a snap we're still talking about a team whose qb isn't scaring anyone and an RB who quite simply isn't elite. What's the argument?

Wanted to pick him up but would have to cut big ben, can't pull the trigger.
Have only five bench spots.Wanted to pick him up but would have to cut big ben, can't pull the trigger.![]()
Hightower is a trendy pick this week; I believe he's had some very good games against Rams.Considering him over Harrison in PPR. Both have good match-ups.I am running with him this week in my ppr league over Bradshaw and also in my non ppr over J Harrison.....let the hightower train run cause you know they are going to have to dump off to him ALOT
Are you sure Beanie is out? I have not heard this.MaxPower said:Now that Beanie is out, should I start Hightower over Jamal Charles? Non PPR league.. standard scoring.

I think that's right. I don't know that you start Hightower over your studs, even ones in tough matchups, like Michael Turner or Ray Rice. But I think you can probably start him over the Ryan Grants and Joe Addai's of the world, no?People are overthinking this. I don't think the Rams defense is terrible enough to make Hightower startable over some of the guys people are listing.
I'm not playing him over SJax or Mendy.Anyone starting him over a stud RB this week? He took a major jump in projected points all of a sudden. More than Turner, Grant, Benson, and Charles, all who I am starting over him and will probably regret later today.
Hightower may fumble his way right out of the NFL.NFL.com's Darren Urban believes running back Tim Hightower "may have cost himself dearly" by losing two fumbles in Arizona's win over the Rams on Sunday. Our View: That's great news for Beanie Wells owners, as they could ill afford a breakout game from Hightower in Wells' absence on Sunday

Wells still needs to get on the feel and stop crying for his mommy everytime he gets hit. And the 2nd fumble looked to me, and the announcers, that the ground caused it, but the ref saw it a different way.For those that did not watch the game and simply see 2 fumbles...THT was moving the ball well and had a fumble early in the game but they went back to him and he scored a TD, things seemed just fine. But then AZ did not go with him in the 2nd half. And they were over the 1st fumble because they already had used him in the game in the 2nd quarter where he redeemed himself. I don't know if he was hurt but they started using Howling. Then he finally gets into the game very late and they obviously were using THT to run out the clock and then he fumbled for the 2nd time. But he wasn't involved in the flwo of the game in the 2nd half...if he was hurt then he shouldn't have been in there. If he was healthy then AZ has really dumb coaches because he was very effective in the 1st half with about 75 total yds and a TD. I don't think the 2 fumbles are as big an impact as the week to week health of Wells. My question is if Wells could not go this week, what changes next week? When can Wells owners start him and not worry about sharing a ton of the worlkload? I would say we are a few weeks form that happening but AZ has a pretty weak schedule and good match ups will continue to appear for them.
Hightower looked very good despite the two fumbles but even if you are looking good, if you cough up the football you are going to get benched eventually. For those that did not watch the game and simply see 2 fumbles...THT was moving the ball well and had a fumble early in the game but they went back to him and he scored a TD, things seemed just fine. Actually there is more than enough room for THT and B-Wells. B-Wells had some good games last year even when splitting time with THT.For those that did not watch the game and simply see 2 fumbles...THT was moving the ball well and had a fumble early in the game but they went back to him and he scored a TD, things seemed just fine. Is that the word on Wells? That he's soft. I know he missed 3 games in college and was dinged up for a few more, but he still managed elite production. What he needs to do is stop crying about getting more carries and go out there and prove he deserves the touches. I like Wells as a buy low guy assuming this knee injury isn't too serious. Arizona would be smart to give Beanie 75% of the carries and let Hightower do what he does best. Block and catch dumpoffs on 3rd down.Wells still needs to get on the feel and stop crying for his mommy everytime he gets hit.
