Timmons vs Woodley vs Harrison (1 Viewer)

I was looking through the projections and reading about the Pitt LBs... I noticed that Timmons is projected to have a better year than Woodley and Harrison. I was wondering if the staff could comment on how they believe the Pitt LB crew will perform and the thoughts behind the projections.

Harrison is getting up there in age and steadily declined each game towards the 2nd half of the season. Started on fire though.

Woodley seemed to pick it up as Harrison started to decline..I found this interesting.

Timmons was pretty steady throughout the year but under performed (fantasy wise) if you compare to Woodley or Harrison.

So is there a scheme change for Pitt. Curious at to the thought behind the current projections..

Harrison had a torn biceps last season and as the season wore on, he was drawing SERIOUS double teams and attention while Woodley was left to himself most of the time.If you have any question about James Harrison's ability or "decline", then ask Jeff Backus. I'm sure he can confirm that Harrison is fully healthy and fully capable now.no scheme change. Timmons may actually lose some time now that Foote is back, although the main knock on Timmons, his inability to shed blocks and make plays against the run, may finally be a thing of the past as he has put on strength and size and has been shedding a fair bit better than in the past

not at all. In Pittsburgh's scheme, Farrior is the mack, Timmons (miscast) and Foote play the buckhopefully (for Steelers fans) in the future, Timmons will take over at mack and Fox will play the buck

it sure does. No idea where he's coming from though

Farrior is the captain of the defense. No chance is Foote taking that over from Farrior unless Farrior goes down to injury

just wanted to remark as a dude who is a steelers zealot that Timmons is demonstrating burst and explosion that is just ridiculous. He ran down Chris Johnson and has been hitting about as hard as anybody since Greg Lloyd

Farrior is old and slow and Timmons is beating him to the ball CONSTANTLY.

Timmons may end up with 90 solos and a pissload of nick-nacks. His pressures are frequent and they will eventually turn to sacks as the season progresses

scary how good this defense is when it's healthy.

Timmons is playing like a beast out there. As a Bengals fan, I can't "like" any Steelers, but I do love watching Timmons play this year. I think he could put up some monster numbers.
