Tis the season to overanalyze (1 Viewer)

First day, but it's all the same. Overanalyzing your starting lineup. We all suffer from it every year, and it drives me and sometimes my family nuts.

I am really considering changing my league scoring system to a "best ball' format. Do any of you have any experience with this? I am just wondering if it takes some of the fun out of it. From what I know of the "best ball" format you don't have to put in a starting lineup. Your starters will be determined after all the scores are in for the week, and it automatcially takes your best performers and makes them your starters. The way I look at it, it takes the guess work out of it and rewards you for drafting well. Any of you do it this way?

I've considered that format in the league I run. But half the fun of this past time is wasting countless hours studying matchups, following a guy's injury all week and reading expert analysis into the wee hours of the morning.... just so you can start the wrong guy and watch the dude you benched go off to the tune of 100 yards and 2 touchdowns.

My opinion is... drafting is only half the battle of this game. You would basically be removing the "coaching" aspect of fantasy football when you go to the "best ball" format.

I play in 8 leagues (half dynasty), and added 3 best ball leagues to that. Best of both worlds.

I don't know why anyone would ever play in more than 1 league. You then have to root for the opposite players. :confused:Everyone should just play in 1 league, like me.[/Varmit]
