**Titans at Raiders**(-4, 41.5) 4:05 (1 Viewer)

Titans HC had said during the off-season he'd work with the defense and ST more in 2025 and was an oversight on his part. Two weeks ago, when he relinquished play calling to their QB coach, he said he'd spend more time with the defense.
Now everyone quotes it as Callahan's defense and not Denard's.
They stunk for 1.5 weeks and pitched a shutout in the second half last week.
(Also Denard was rumored to be a strong candidate to replace Callahan)
Soooo idk how the defense will do. It really looked like he broke them and then gave away our top CB for a sandwich.

Armour Davis was beaten for two long gains to start last week then settled down OK.

Bowers out certainly helps.

The OL had their first very good game in years last week. 12 snaps with an extra OL and some 2 and 3 TE late. Latham returns at RT and they elevated their excellent blocking TE. There's almost doubt about adding Latham. He's a future stud T, no doubt, but we waited years for a good game and here's Crosby.

Is there an offensive shift? They've barely scored TDs and while Cam had all day to throw often last week, no one was open. We'd been waiting for good blocking for a long time and...crickets.

4th Q saw Gunnar as a key cog and over the middle passes opening up some nice looking shots to Ridley and Elic (a drop for each I believe) and it was the first time this offense looked good in a long time.

Is Gunnar Delanie? Arroyo? This would be very different from the Cincy 3 WR ways that Callahan loves but ol Peyton used a TE plenty when Callahan was with him.

Camp phenom pre injury Kevin Winston should get time with the defense this week after testing his legs out on ST. It'll be fun to see him.

Snead had a real good game shutting down Junior last week. Is he back? I think this is key because I don't see the Raiders able to overcome a WR taken out of their game plan especially without Brock.

The Titans are overstating good ILB play as great. Great ILBs meet the ball carrier at or behind the LOS. They're not. They're just tackling well. This usually translates to a game a RB runs all over them and crushingly puts things back in perspective. Jeanty is a big concern.

Big Jeff might be the best IDL in the league right now. He's winning against 2 and 3 blockers and really been something. Some old school theory is to run right at the top DL for success. Umm that's a bad idea but teams seem to want to try that. My issue usually is why do you try it on a key 3rd and 1? Why then? Carroll has always had a screw loose with running choices so I'm gonna be looking for this oddity.

I think the Titans should win. If Snead plays well and the run defense isn't at all arrogant, they could actually win pretty big for the first time in years.
They've been awful. I have no confidence but this might be the first good matchup for them in a long time

Battle of 1-4 teams who certainly looked like they are moving in opposite directions last week.

Geno has looked a lot like Jets Geno so far. I think the Titans (especially with Bowers out) stack the line against Jeanty, and make Geno beat them. I think the INTs keep coming. Sucks Bowers is out, but I do think Mayer could be the Raiders leading pass catcher in his absence. Sneaky streamer start.

I think the Titans turned a but of a corner last week, sure a comedy of errors broke their way, but that's often how it starts. Raiders defense is Crosby and 10 other guys (maybe Jeremy Chinn deserves naming?) and I think the Titans take advantage of that. Titans get JC Latham back, which should help a run game that was already at an advantage this week. Tony Pollard seems like a solid start. I think Cam Ward hits some big plays against an awful pass D, and I think while last week was a Ridley week, this week its Ayomanor's turn.

I think the Titans win and perhaps win big. Starting to wonder if the game has passed Carroll by.

I don't think they threw it first drive.
A lot of Pollard and then short of first. It's good eating for a little bit.

C/G Corey Levin was in at FB which was too weird but I am all for an extra lineman or FB on most plays.

Chig has played FB and H-back til now

Helm was in first snap

Mike McDaniel/Tua type nonsense trickery for screens

Finally something normal and Jeanty looked good

Big Jeff two big stops already. You better not let him get a head of steam Raiders

Stupid defensive set on 3rd and 3 second time too. Barton standing near NT spot and then backs up to wherever he was to be. Once Raiders recognize, they're running up the gut for a TD.

Armour Davis toast to start again just like last two weeks.

Jeanty looks good. Line doing good enough. Not like when I've watched this year. Run game looks good.

Big Jeff says hi to Geno and now a FG delay of game.

Spears smashed on that screen
Chig gets nowhere on screen

Hey an offense throwing forward. Nice pass to Ridley

Super predictable Pollard run

Stupid penalty
Nice spin move for a sack
3rd and 25, short pass to Dike 🙃

Sooo next drive should be about when the prescribed "I'm Shanahan" pretentiousness stops

That was a ridiculous penalty
The rule too
Titans were great on D there. Backed Raiders up twice
Push by Armour Davis with no ball near gives them a first

Young freak Femi made two plays that drive.
It'll be a huge deal whenever the kid learns the game

Announcers said earlier how he caught Vilma's eye. Yep yep but until he learns then what?

Colts called like 12 bootlegs to run his way

Oliver is Ridley's backup and maybe a sprinkling of Jefferson this offseason. Oliver they gave another week to heal. Idk who replaces but they can't handle it so they gotta adjust and go two TE or something. It can't be rely on a WR1

Offense looks ugly again
White went unblocked and made Ward cough it up

Raiders two ugly plays. Mayer at FB blocked no one.
Nice job block then get open quick by Mayer for TD

Screen to Mayer doesn't get a first down on 3rd and long
Shocker

Can people call the plays using Madden in the second half? Some random 14 year old is definitely better than these two

The most predictable non snap 4th and 4 to draw the D offsides has Big Jeff saying things to make Geno laugh

Van makes a play then Gunnar. Things looks normal and comfy

It's been a constant that that backups are better all year. The possible GM influence of HC wanting youth...whatever, it's been so stupid and obvious all year

cam ward is sort of bad
That was a bad int

Most of this game they haven't let him play by throwing screens.
Pollard was fine early, I don't think he's run since.
All year Cam goes back and sits and no one's open or he's under pressure.
It's so ugly. We don't even usually get to evaluate him.

They'll actually play the backups later and he'll move the ball well then

· Led by Jeffery Simmons and Oluwafemi Oladejo, who each had two tackles for loss in the first half, the Titans defense totaled seven tackles for loss in the first half. That is the highest total by the Titans in the first half of a game since Dec. 9, 2012 at Indianapolis (seven).

So all this dopey tiny passes will be fine for the Raiders to continue since they have a lead.

Titans gotta come out like fourth Q last week.
Pollard runs, Gunnar over middle, and take some shots.
Put Van in for Ridley not a rookie!
Psssh Lockett, go two TE

Raiders clearly haven't watched the Eagles play
There's been like two to Tucker and everything else to Mayer. How do you not know it's going there?
