Anyone think there might be some hidden WW value in Roydell Williams or one of the Titans WRs this weekend?

VY took a lot of reps with those 3 and 4 and 5 guys in the preseason and up until he became the starter. There's bound to be at least a little chemistry there. With Springs possibly still out, anyone see a chance for 70-80 and a score from one of these guys?

Shot in the dark perhaps.... but hopefully with some good analysis/insight, maybe we can find a gem here this week...

Thoughts?

VY can throw the ball and he's so fast he can outrun it, catch it, then juke and jive into the endzone. He does not need no stinking receivers.

WR's are overrated...just ask the Titans.

With Vince Young throwing??? If Vince throw for 100 yards it will be a big day.

I don't know much about the Titans receiving corps, is Brandon Jones the one to grab for sure?

Would appreciate some insight.

At WR, yes, Brandon Jones is the player you want to pick up. Williams is very raw...very raw. Roby has, well, disappeared. I might be wrong but I am not even sure Roby has a catch on the season. At TE you could make a case for either Troupe of Scaife at this point.

I have barely seen the Titans play this year; how would you guys say Brandon Jones looks following ACL surgery? Hasn't missed a beat or looks like he needs to regain a step?

He looks good. Young was looking for him the few times he threw downfield last week. As Young gets more comfortable, Jones will get more quality targets. Young's escapability in the pocket can make for huge plays if he and the receivers are on the same page.

Yes, but would anyone DROP Drew Bennett in order to pick up Brandon Jones? :loco:
That may seem premature, but Bennett has really disappeared since VY took over. If Bennett doesn't do anything again this week and Jones gets free for a long TD, it will be the hot move next wwek.

Don't you mean to say "Bennett has really disappeared since Steve McNair/VY took over"?Without Billy Volek, this guys's done NOTHING. Here's another sell-high candidate I always talk about. But the time to sell high has long since passed.

He was doing quite well in PPR leagues for the first few weeks. Outscoring quite a few big name WRs.

I don't know if I would agree with that....with Collins at qb he was quietly producing good numbers.

I really liked Jones from last year. The only problem was it seemed so crowded with him, Bennett, Roby and Roydell, not to mention the TEs. And while Givens has been worthless, they gave him some good coin, so he'll get his chances.

All that said, with Roby and Williams playing lesser roles, Jones continues to strike me as the guy that could emerge from the bunch. Tempered, of course, with an inexperienced rookie QB.

Agreed - I was just coming in here to post this. With Vince Young at QB, don't expect much from the Titans receivers.

See, I don't agree with this.I think the Scaife connection is very overrated, and Troupe/WR1 ( Jones apparently) will see some major action. While Young might not throw for more than 150, I expect about 70-80% of that to be divied between those two.I'm confident enough in the shark pool consensus to start Jones over Rod Smith this week (was autodrafted I swear).
