NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Tennessee defensive tackle Robaire Smith tested his right hamstring Thursday in practice, his first session since hurting himself in the opening quarter of the Titans' season opener.
Right tackle Jacob Bell also returned to practice. But the Titans also added running back Chris Brown to the injury report Thursday with a toe problem and listed him as questionable. Brown originally hurt a toe in the opener, but played last week.
Smith was hurt trying to jump back to his side of the line of scrimmage on the first play of the New York Jets' second possession and had to limp off the field. He had not practiced since that 23-16 loss, and the seven-year veteran currently is questionable for Sunday's game with Miami (0-2).
``I wanted to go out there and push it to see where I was at as far as my hamstring. I don't want to wait to gametime and wait for a decision,'' Smith said.
Smith has played through a variety of injuries in his career and been effective. He tested how tough it was to move on the hamstring, but said he'll have to wait and see how he feels Friday.
``That's the funny thing about hamstrings. One minute it feels good. Then the next thing you know you tweak it a little bit, and it's right back to where it was, so just got to try to be smart with it,'' Smith said.
Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth couldn't finish practice, and coach Jeff Fisher said he had a shoulder burner.
