TM K? (1 Viewer)

team defense, why not team kicker?

this changes 2 things.

1) a bad kicker loosing his job.

when are we ever in that situation? if a K is at risk to loose his job, why would he be rostered in the first place? you just pick up one of the other 10 kickers on waivers. problem solved

2) the "concern" of injury to your kicker

completely 100% unpredictable. even as the best FF owner, if your spending any time worrying about your kickers susceptibility to injury you are doing something wrong

so my point here is the only to risks at the K position are completely unpredictable and have no bearing on your skill as a FF owner. a game should not be decided when your kicker gets hurt in the 1st quarter on a tackle attempt. especially in the playoffs when most waivers are closed

im sure there are some TM K leagues but why isn't this more popular? why isn't this the standard for leagues?

start the revolution!

I agree 100%.

All apologies to Mike Herman, but I'm just not a fan of the kicker position.

My gut tells me, although someone will likely show me stats to show me I'm wrong, that it's a far less predictable position than the "standard" position.

Anything that can happen to simplify the position, and not make me check injuries reports and waste waiver pickups on "drunk, idiot" kickers, is all good by me.

K is just an added part of strategy.

A: Get better at the kicker position.

I guess you could "team" every position and "not have to worry about it".

I will say this though... if you included punters into the Team Kicker that would be cool... or even better, add the returners in also for a "Special Teams" all-in-one unit, that would be very cool.
