everything seems fine & initial reports weren't so accurate

Some info from Mike Reiss, Patriot beat reporter:

---Sports radio WEEI reporting this morning that Tom Brady was involved in a car accident. Working to confirm and find out more details.

Also a report that he went to or was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Jaws of life were used on the other car, not Brady's, apparently.

Sources have told the Dennis & Callahan Show that Tom Brady was involved in a car accident on the corner of Commonwealth and Gloucester in Boston Thursday morning. According to the report Brady was "shaken" and it was believed that the jaws of life were used in the accident and that a pole was down at the scene. An Audi with New Jersey plates and a Ford min-van were thought to be involved. Another source reported that the quarterback had gone to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Mike Reiss is saying Brady on way to Gillette & not hospital

Ch 7 was tweeting the whiplash details & not sure how they came to that

 
Dennis & Callahan now reporting that Tom was walking around at the scene saying he was fine. The Patriots are reporting that Tom has called in and is on his way to the stadium - he did not go to the hospital, the other driver did.

He's fine.

Channel 7 in Boston is reporting Tom Brady is heading to be checked out by the Patriots team doctor. Witnesses said Brady had a green light and was struck by a van that ran through a red light.

A law enforcement source confirmed a WEEI radio report that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was involved in a two-car accident on the corner of Gloucester Street and Commonwealth Avenue in Boston this morning.

Here's what Boston.com's MetroDesk blog has learned:

A sedan and a passenger van collided at 6:34 a.m. at Commonwealth Avenue and Gloucester Street, said Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald.

The driver of the sedan was able to get out and was walking around after the crash. A man was stuck in the back of the passenger van and had to be removed with the Jaws of Life, then transported to an area hospital, MacDonald said. He said the traffic light was hit during the accident and Boston police were investigating.

The sources said the man driving the sedan was Brady and he was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

The accident comes as the Patriots are gearing up for their season opener on Sunday against the Cinncinnatti Bengals.

Patriots spokesman Stacey James didn't immediately return a message seeking comment.

Of course they did. Brady could throw a live grenade into a schoolbus full of kids and the parents nearby would talk about what a perfect spiral it was.
 
I know Brady is an athlete and all but a car accident tends to leave you sore for awhile. A lot of times you don't even know how you are really doing until much later. Fridays practice should give us a better idea of how he feels. Here is hoping everything is ok.

According to a witness on the scene, Brady and a passenger in his car refused medical treatment and walked away from the accident.

This will be the bigger story for Tiger Brady.

I am assuming it would have been reported as Gisel if she had been the passenger.

Brady claimed the passenger walked away because of the collision and that he'd tucked her back into the car before it happened. The other driver is furious.

Per Mike Reiss: Brady arrived at the stadium this morning, was involved in parts of meetings and a pre-practice walkthrough, and is expected to practice this afternoon.

LOL, you mean those glorious hair extensions/plugs he got a few years ago? He should be Matt Hasselbeck's twin by now...and yes, I am peeved I can't afford $100,000 for fake hair to cover up a shiny dome...screw you Brady, be a man!
