Fellas, it's Mike Tirico.

Can you guys just write that down on a little yellow sticky before you post in here and butcher his name (or just not know it at all)?
Every forum must have some type of spelling police. Thanks for filling in the void.
I'm more concerned about the guys here who don't even know who he is (or know who he is but didn't know he was doing the pbp; i.e., "the main guy(???)").

MNF is, sadly, unwatchable at this point. Unwatchable. NFL made a huge mistake sending the broadcast to ESPN. At least my Monday nights will be free now.

I've never known a real football fan to turn down an opportunity to watch football...especially based on the personalities commenting on the game. Not sure what you're doing here on this board.

Or what you're doing here besides starting fights and playing spelling Nazi to a guy's name that we hope we forget (let alone how to spell) in a year or two.Sorry, all this mention of Kornholio and Theisman and Irving has got my temper flaring a little.

I'm looking forward to seeing the "late" game on the first Monday Night Football telecast this year. Mike & Mike might be doing a dress rehearsal for getting the job later on. (fingers crossed) :ptts:

 Just doesn't seem like much to ask for the Shark Pool that people know it's Michael Irvin, that Mike Tirico (aka "the main guy") is doing MNF, and that people who are here actually like football. Seriously, this is what's got you all fired up?

No. Can't do that. Tarico, Tirico. Terico..Doesn't matter. He's just not that good.
 Why, because he's professional and not "In your face" with Booyah's, or half-soused like Summerall? Tirico is THE best play-by-play man out there today. And when the switch from Thiesman to Jaws was announced, it was like a dream come true - the announcer I despise more than anyone on the planet replaced by the guy I've been calling for for years.Kornheiser isn't great, but I don't hate him. My only concern is that the public may be so turned-off by his non sequiturs that the backlash may take down the whole crew.

No, because he's boring. To mention him in the same sentence as Sumerall (drinking problem or not) is a joke.

I dunno...people have been whining about the MNF announcing team for years (or Sunday night with regards to Theismann). I think folks have had the reflexive yack with Kornheiser just because it's what they've trained themselves to do for the past dozen years or so. But, imo, this is the best team they've assembled in quite a while. Tirico stays out of the way, Jaws offers the best insights and football substance of anyone in the business, and Kornheiser is an astute, curious, and funny addition who flows with the other two far better than Miller ever did. TK has a way of playing devil's advocate that I think resonates with a lot of fans who watch the game and ask the same questions as the game moves forward.
