TOP 10 NON PPR Dynasty Rookie WR's Ranked (1 Viewer)

1) Justin Blackmon WR Jaguars (1st Rnd) Pick (5) - Not in the class of last year's Julio or AJ Green by any means. But Blackmon should be the no 1 WR by late season. Does a great job getting open when plays break down.

2) Kendall Wright WR Titans (1st Rnd) Pick (20) - Stock fell a little cause of combine. But this kid is legit. Does everything pretty well. With Kenny Britt being injured more then James Starks :lmao: And Nate Washington being inconsistant at times and another year or 2 from Free agency. Wright will probably be the no 3 WR this year and no 2 WR next year IMO.

3) Michael Floyd WR Cardinals (1st Rnd) Pick (13) - While he would've been better off going to somewhere like St Louis or Miami. Floyd is still a legit WR 2 for the Cardinals. QB play takes his stock down a little too. But who knows he could surprise. But with Fitzgerald taking a certain level of defensive attention this opens the door for Floyd to show what he's got by mid to last season 2012.

4) Alshon Jeffrey WR Bears (2nd Rnd) Pick (45) - It starts to get tricky a little bit here. But if Jeffrey can work on running routes a lot better and getting seperation he can thrive in CHI I think. Cutler is good enough I think to support 2 Good WR's. This likely sends Johnny Knox to a situational role and Earl Bennett to the slot. Alshon just needs to keep the weight off and stay motivated I think.

5) Stephen Hill WR Jets (2nd Rnd) Pick (43) - Hill is supposedly a project like Bay, Bay Thomas. He has a lot of upside. The size and speed are there (which you can't teach) just needs to refine blocking and route running a little. And Tebow started to click with Bay Bay Thomas in DEN. So who knows maybe they click in NY. Hill is a good red zone target too.

6) AJ Jenkins WR 49ers (1st Rnd) Pick (30) - This pick was very odd to me. To me it says we took Manningham in free agency in case we are in the Super Bowl this year and can rely on him, Moss, and Crabtree. But remember this is a Dynasty NON PPR ranking. So once Moss is gone and Manningham shows his true colors and how he disappears at times. Jenkins will be the no 2 WR by 2013 or 2014 at the latest.

7) Ryan Broyles WR Lions (2nd Rnd) Pick (54) - I think Titus Young is still more of a slot guy. And Nate Burelson is going to last so long as the WR 2 in DET. I think the talent and situation are there for Broyles to excel as long as he stays healthy.

8) Reuban Randle WR Giants (2nd Rnd) Pick (63) - Someone has to fill the void for Manningham leaving. So Randle makes a lot of sense here. Not sure how many catches he gets this year. Might take a year or 2 but he could be relevant in a few years.

9) Brian Quick WR Rams (2nd Rnd) Pick (33)- Fisher and his regime must really like this guy to take him before Randle, Jeffrey and a number of other WR's I would've taken before Quick. But Quick has the size/speed and not a lot of comp in front of him to seize the WR1 or WR2 spot this year. So for that sake alone I will put him this high.

10) Keshawn Martin WR Texans (4th Rnd) Pick 121 - I think the fact that Walters is so hot and cold and the Texans are shopping Jacoby Jones. Martin has the chance to be the WR 2 there. The skill set is there just needs a little refining.

(Now guys I've never done a post like this so don't be too cruel) I was just taking a stab here.

I was tempted to put Sanu on that list too. But with Bengals drafting a good TE. Probably going to do some 2 TE Sets with Gresham and AJ Green there. Not sure I see much in the way of passes thrown Sanu's way. I mean Lewis has always leaned on the run. Kind of like Jets. So Sanu might get a 3 catches for 45 yards some days with a few TDs thrown in there. Just think its not the ideal fantasy situation for him.

See I'm high on Charles too but I think AJ draws coverage and Sanu puts up great numbers especially in PPR. He plays really physical.

Why did you put Martin at #10 over Posey who the Texans drafted in the 3rd round? I don't like neither of them, but I would default to Posey's size over Martin.

why no Chris Givens?
probably a good point, but there's not a tonne of clips of him out there on youtube. I'd probably put him somewhere around the last tier in my rankings.
Here's a Chris Givens Playlist for evaluation: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7D3913DD0DCFF113&feature=mh_lolzYou can see he plays fast, but doesn't have good, natural hands. They're small so he doesn't trust them, too much body catching.

Randle has been a late-riser for me. The more I watched his game clips, the more I liked him. 6'3" 210 pounds. Only average speed, but extremely fluid. Natural playmaker who had his way with SEC corners last season. Professional demeanor and attitude off the field. Only 20 years old, so has the potential to add good weight. Just seems like one of those guys who might never be elite, but will have a 10 year career in the league as a starter.

see and that's the rub ... "might never be elite"will have me passing on Randle
I disagree with that portion. To me, Randle has the most WR1 potential of anyone in this WR class. He's going to be bottled up behind Nicks on the NYG depth chart though. I've liked Randle for a few years. He was severely underutilized in the LSU offense. That was largely due to putrid QB play. The guy can play though. He's also very young and I like that he ended up in NYG because they seem to have a good track record at developing WR talent the past several years. Not sure what's in the water in NYG....

I'd rather have a guy who "might never be elite" over a guy who "might never be good enough to start."

That's why I prefer Randle to Hill and Quick. I don't think this is another Brian Robiskie or Michael Jenkins situation. I think Randle has enough upside to be a top 20 WR. Something like a Hakeem Nicks or Hines Ward level is not beyond him IMO. We'll see.
