Top 10 RB for 2008 in a PPR League (1 Viewer)

Can't believe Ronnie Brown still finished in the Top 20 of PPR leagues despite playing in less than 7 full games.

Time will only tell where he'll rate in the rankings. Perhaps we're looking at a 2007 Kevin Jones-like situation for Ronnie for 2008.

1. LaDanian Tomlinson

2. Steven Jackson

3. Brian Westbrook

4. Adrian Peterson

5. Joseph Addai

6. Frank Gore

7. Marshawn Lynch

8. Ronnie Brown

9. Reggie Bush

10. Marion Barber

....not sure my thoughts on LJ yet.

Decimated O line and QB play suspect.....stud running the ball, but has his team lost a step??

Bush is a guy that you may be able to acquire for cheap, which may be a wise move. If he goes from a 3.6 ypc guy to a 4.0 ypc guy - which can be as much a function of Oline and play calling as anything else - he's a lock for top-8 status for the next few years.

1 - L. Tomlinson

2 - B. Westbrook

3 - J. Addai

4 - A. Peterson (Minnesota)

5 - S. Jackson

6 - C. Portis

7 - M. Lynch

8 - M. Jones-Drew

9 - R. Bush

10 - M. Barber

It may look a little different then most, but here is mine.

I don't see how anyone can leave Portis off their Top 10 list. He's been getting better as the season has gone on and that is with a decimated O-line. Gotta like him for the same production next year.

1. Tomlinson

2. Westbrook

3. Peterson

4. Bush

5. Jackson

6. Addai

7. Barber III

8. Grant

9. Portis

10. MJD

Just missed the top 10: Lynch

lols at overrating bush.

if anything he is going to be underrated next year. can likely get him in the early 2nd.

through 16 weeks (including his last 3 weeks of injury) he is RB #11.

he should be top 10 easy in a PPR.

Are we assuming Jamal Lewis goes back to undesirable in 2008? He finished #6 in my ppr league this year.
Well...he is going on 40, isn't he? :popcorn:l No reason why he shoudn't end up top 10 again next year and he comes at a significant discount. Whats not to like?timore defense.
Common misconception. Jamal is almost exactly the same age as LT and Westbrook and has been amazingly durable, playing through a variety of injuries. His surprising effectiveness was due to a rapidly improving offensive line, a good schedule based on Cleveland's poor performance in 2007, a respectable passing offense that keeps defenses from loading up in the box, and Romeo's disdain for RBBC. The only thing that should change in 2008 (assuming Lewis resigns) is the schedule. He'll still have 2 games against Cinncinnati and the aging Baltimore defense. He should stay top 10 and come at a significant discount. Whats not to like?

why do people continue to overrate Bush???and where is Lynch in these lists?
Perhaps because he catches a lot and well this is a PPR ranking.
Bush was top 5 through 13 weeks in PPR.His PPG average is 7th among RB's in this format.
and this is why PPR scoring does not make sense to me.
It's a love/hate thing with me. I love having a PPR and non-PPR league every year, it's amazing how different you will see players ranked.

:2cents: Best post so far. I would add Gore for sure though, and remove M.Barber.

Just missed: MB3 (obviously depends on where he lands), Brown

05. J. Addai

06. A. Peterson

the problem with r.brown is that he is serously injured. obviously we'll know more in August than January. but if you had to draft now I cant see putting him at 3

If Adrian Peterson is so great, how come I lost the FF championship when I started him vs. the other Adrian Peterson, when the rest of the players in the game were a wash? I lost by 14 points. ADP got 6, the "Other AP" got 20. Why is that? I'll tell you why. Opportunity. He got 9 carries. The crappy "other" AP got 30 carries.

It is not going to change next season either.

being astute to LJ's lackluster supporting cast (it's not that horrible), i'm not sure how you could put gore at #6 (his is that horrible)

Cool. You draft Chicago, I'll keep Minnesota, we'll see who comes out ahead.

wowI think ADP is alittle bothered by the knee right now, Plus teams are starting to get good film on him and making Defensive adjustments. I wouldn't let a playoff letdown make you drop him in the rankings, Minny needs improved QB play and ADP's stats could be even better

The improved QB play is the key to his success next year. As the season wore on teams dared Minn to throw while committing everything to stopping the run and he was shut down to a large extent over the last 1/4 of the season. Even with the distinct numbers advantage Jackson couldn't make teams pay and that must change next year. I'm not sure that the Vikes will look to bring in a good qb which will negatively impact Peterson's #'s.

In my Dynasty league we've studied the affect of PPR on scoring and now have a weighted PPR scoring: RB: 1pt/5 rec, WR 1pt/4 rec (1pt/bonus at 10 rec), TE 1pt/3 TE (1pt bonus at 8 rec). Since the new scoring our top 20 scorers include: 4 QB, 8WR and 8RB.

We already saw who came out ahead. You'd be one down to begin with.

This is exactly my point. Chili is going to probably stick with Jackson. You bring in a Jeff Garcia or Derek Anderson, ADP skyrockets in the rankings. He's a superb talent. But then again, he has shown that he might not be able to withstand the pounding. I don't think Chester Taylor is going anywhere and at the end of the Skins game, it appeared that Chili trusted Taylor more.

ADP missed at least one block in blitz pick up vs. CHI that led to a sack, IIRC, he had a few more where he didn't get recognition in time, either. Didn't notice it as much vs. WAS, but he played a lot less.

Where is the love for Ryan Grant? Talk about undervalued. A full season as the starter in that offense and he could potentially be top5. The guy has been a monster in the 2nd half this year.

As far as the some of the comments. Bush will be seriously undervalued next year in a PPR league. LJ will be better next year but not great. I see him in the top 20 but not top 10. And Ronnie Brown will take 2 full years to fully recover from his ACL (just like everyone else) and will be ok and not top 10 in 2008 and great in 2009.

I don't think Bush will go much later in drafts then he should in PPR leagues next year. There are always at least a couple smart owners in a league and that will prevent him sliding very far at all.Bush is gold in PPR, the people that don't see that either don't understand PPR or just hate Reggie Bush.
