Reasons to like Willie Parker...
1. Pittsburg likes to run the ball. (483 carries for their RB's last year, I think that was #1 in the NFL according to the data dominator)
2. Bettis is gone. You knew Bettis was going to get the ball last year, especially inside the 20. He carried the ball 110 times to Parker's 255. I would bet that Parker gets more carries this year inside the 20. To count on Duce Staley or Vernon Hayes to take over for Bettis is hopeful at best. I think the team was able to lean on Bettis if Parker was struggling. This year they won't be able to do that. I see Willie Parker as getting the carries from the 5 to 5 instead of 20 to 20 like some people say. Yeah they will still give him breathers but he has one year under his belt and he came into this season knowing he was the starter.
3. Did I say Bettis was gone.
4. He is the #1 RB on the team and will get a majority of the carries.
