fresh corn tortillas from the local mexican lady.

fresh guac just made

bout to grill some steak, nice medium rare.

inspire me... gimme something fresh/new/that you do to top your taco.

Gotta heat up the tortilla.

I'm a super simple kind of taco guy - especially when you have a great tortilla. Too much crap overpowers the awesome taste of a corn tortilla. Steak, guac, some chopped tomatoes and onions and a squeeze of lime sounds awesome. Or just a touch of some really good salsa instead of the tomato and onion.

keep it simple

I looked at the thread title and I kept thinking "This has got to be a euphemism, but for what"

:sadbanana:

The FFA is dying

Went simple...

A few with guac and mexican hot sauces

other's, just steak and hot sauce.

The tortillas were too damn good, as was the steak.

Plan to do this again with chicken, in which case, toppings will be more necesary

There's nothing more satisfying than having someone ask for suggestions, get a bunch, and then not take any of them.  Great thread.

"keep it simple" was a suggestion.

Also, I should say I did squeeze lime, just forgot to mention it.

All in all, looking for suggestions for the future. Radishes sounds good, but had none on hand

I like mine with a little Spanish rice, some meat, cilantro, onion, tomato, shredded cheese and a dab of sour cream maybe a shot of hot sauce or salsa

Assuming you are adding a bit of guac I would supplement with some chopped white onions, cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime.

I like my steak tacos with escabeche and thin sliced radishes

Only for a few dishes, tacos being one of them, I like my steak charred with a little crunch. I'll cook NY strips rare well before taco time. Keep in the fridge while I prepare the other stuff. Then cut the steak into smallish chunks and char in a little oil seasoned with garlic, chili, cumin, salt and cayenne. Squeeze lime over the finished beef. Stuff warm tortillas and keep it simple, but guac or sliced avo shines best with that charred steak. I was going to make chili today but maybe not.

I don't think this quality porn title should be overlooked. Great for a stable of latinas. I've always wanted to start a porn production company called Hugh Jass productions.

Top my taco presented by Hugh Jass productions directed by Senor spanish soulfly.

Lets make this happen. It will get at least 2 dozen sequels.

Carnitas and peach cobbler are an excellent combination I discovered last Cinco De Mayo after a dozen Dos Equis.  Don't recall the exact ratio.

Might want to stick to Taco Bell/Del Taco.
Del Taco bonus: best fries ever. Their tacos aren't that great but I do like their beef burrito.

I miss the chilli cheese burrito from Taco Bell. It's been many many years since they made them but I remember they were really damn good.

Kraft shredded Mexican 3 blend cheese

Daisy pure & natural sour cream

pace mild picante sauce

old el paso taco seasoning

ETA: (I think the cheese is actually 4 blend)

I think you're eating the wrong soft corn tortillas.
No kidding.  Go to any high quality taco truck around.  See how many hard shell corn tacos they serve, or flour.  Soft corn for tacos, flour for burritos.   There is no debate.

Pork slow cooking as we speak for Carnitas.

Smells effing fantastic.

Gonna try some of these toppings listed above, but I am also doing something a lil different. gonna serve on top of some rice, and homemade flat bread (naan) that I have rising right now, and Im gonna cook on my grill

nothing better than naan fired up on a charcoal grill. I mean... maybe in a tandoor, but I dont have one built... yet
