I haven't really paid a whole lot of attention to politics since 2012... but Obama just seems to be flat, like he's an empty suit just playing the part and couldn't care less if people buy it anymore.

You know.... you are right. he does seem flat.

I really think Obama thought he would become President and he'd work with both sides and get all kinds of things done. Didn't happen, some of it his fault, some of it falls on Congress, plenty of blame to go around. I think at this point, he really is just tired of the BS, just like most Americans. (And yes, he is part of the BS, don't get me wrong.) But the job seems to be wearing on him, I've seen it in the last few speeches of his I've watched.

That is common. They even addressed it a few years ago at one of the SOTUs.

At first I thought it was anti-abortion...but then it veered into some weird "opportunity" anecdote.

This fight over minimum wage is a pretty stupid battle for both sides.

It's his continued theme to create a wedge between people.

That's what politicians do. The GOP could just go along with it, it wouldn't matter. it wont help or hurt the economy and raising to 10.10 barely helps anyone anyway.
