Toys from your childhood (1 Viewer)

Oh and the the gun thingie that shot nerflike bullets at people. May have even been nerf. That ruled.
In that same realm, the Tracer gun.
Nice. Was the other one nerf? The other thing I remember were those rubber guys with suction cups. You'd throw them on the wall or something and they would hang there and dangle and eventually make their way down the wall. I would plant those in places I knew it would scare the #### out of my poor mom. Good times.
I sort of remember the Nerf one, but definitely remember the suction cup gun. Never stuck on the back of kids' heads, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

KP, I remember M.A.S.K., but not much of the details. Didn't they do some G.I. Joe/M.A.S.K. crossover episodes, or am I hallucinating that?

...

Here's one of the main Micronauts guys I was talking about, called Force Commander. They had a bunch of guys that operated like Force Commander, in a bunch of different colors. You could get mix-and-match horses and vehicles for these characters to make them centaurs or rolling cyborgs. :jawdrop:

For those wondering, there were also smaller Micronauts figures that didn't launch missles or anything. They were roughly the size of Star Wars figures. The Micronauts line has a slew of vehicles for the small guys to ride in, including a very cool "flying" mechanized hornet (looking for pic).
Updated my post above with a link to all the characters, etc... Not sure about a crossover with GI Joe - don't remember it but it's possible.

Big Trak was the coolest thing ever. I loved mine, until my friend programmed it wrong and sent it taking a tumble down the stairs into our basement... shattered in a million pieces. :jawdrop:

Favorite board game ever: Dark Tower

I'll try to find pictures of them later or a link to the TV show - nobody I know now seems to remember Mask. (or maybe that's not what they were called?). They all had masks  that shot lazers, etc.. and I think their vehiles changed a little too. Maybe I am making this crap up, as I am the only person I know that read The 3 Investigators and not The Hardy Boys. :nerd:
3 investigators rocked! I read all of those books about 10 times each! Never read The Hardy Boys
:suds:  I started looking for them in used bookstores and collecting them a few years ago just to prove to people they existed. I have about 20 or so now and will look to complete the series and give them to my son sometime when he's older.

The other series that hardly anybody else read was the Twilight Series. I think there was about 25-30 books. They were short "horror" stories geared for young adults.

I loved The Three Investigators and The Great Brain series when I was in 5th grade.

In a year or two I will be picking these up for my son...I'm sure I'll catch up on them too.

Did you have the trailer that went with it that you could program to dump?
Sure did! The trailer was also decimated in the infamous stair-crash incident.
I think all Big Tracks suffered the same demise. I know my friend's did.And I bet this is how its final moments played out for you: You and friend are watching it approach the stairs. It's getting closer, closer. Your eyes are getting wide, wondering when if indeed it will stop at the edge and take a 90 degree turn. Then it slowly goes over the edge. You jump up to chase after it, but by then it's too late. While looking at it at the bottom of the stairs, you mutter, "Mom is going to kill me."

Mine was more like this..."Hey, Billy... program the Big Trak to meet me in the kitchen." The door to the kitchen is to the right, the stairs to the basement are on the left. Unfortunately at 10 years old, Billy didn't know the difference between his right and left... I watch as the Big Trak comes down the hall and approaches the kitchen door. Then instead of turning toward me, the Big Trak turns away and starts lumbering down the stairs.

Mom only killed me after I killed Billy.

I love going through Ebay and checking out all the old toys that I use to have. So post some of your favorite toys you had as a kid but not that standard stuff, ya know GI Joe, Transformers, etc. Ohh please post links to pics of them as well.

Couple of my all time favorites

Shogun Warriors
:) I had Mazinga, a friend had both Dragun and Gaiking. I later had Godzilla with the fire tongue and rocket wrist. I had one of the older Mazingas that actually shot the missiles (the later ones didn't shoot them due to safety reasons).
 I also had the Great Mazinga. Had those cool missles that fit into his arm. Also had those red swords.

Here's some more:

Girder and Panel

I got my own set when I was a child, then found a vintage set at my grandmother's house that belonged to my dad. Combined them, and had the PRIMO Grider & Panel set.

Man I can't believe I forgot about that! I had a set of those when I was a kid too! I remember building all kinds of stuff with that! Great Find!!!

Not really unknown...maybe to some of the whipper-snappers around here.

Sizzler Cars

Think Hot Wheels with actual power. I had a high-banked, figure 8 track for these babies. I loved it, the cat loved it, good time for everyone.

Dark Tower was awesome. The software in mine eventually went screwy so when you got to the end and had to enter the key sequence to enter the tower, no combination would work.Need to go to the bazaar and load up on troops!
man, I loved that game. I kept it forever, but it finally crapped out about 2 years ago.

Saw this after my earlier post, you can find the 3 Investigators on eBay, and sometimes at library sales.

Saw these in Target the other day. I had some sort of three-piece mountain set up that the cars could race on from the early 1970s in the storage area next to the diesels. Bought two cars and pretended I was 9 again.
