Tracking Roster Changes in Yahoo (1 Viewer)

So I am playing the commish this week in the playoffs in a Yahoo FF league - I checked the score, and I noticed that he swapped out a player in the W/R position. I don't want to come out and accuse him of cheating, because I simply could have missed it; still, is there a way to view the roster changes and the times that they were made in the Yahoo interface? I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Thanks!

I commish a league that uses Yahoo. To the best of my knowledge, Yahoo does not make that info available. That said, to the best of my knowledge (in a head-to-head league), once a player's game has started, Yahoo will not allow a player to be subbed in/out - NO exception. So I would say it is impossible for the owner to have cheated unless he is a superior computer hacker.Note: There actually is one exception - the commissioner can manually make a change for a team. And in this case, the change (with datestamp) is posted publicly on the main page so that all owners can see it.

Ah gotcha - thanks!

Unless something has changed between November 18 and today, your info is 100% False.During the Chi/Mia game in November, I subbed out Brandon Marshall about 1/2 way into the game in a league where I have all of the teams. A player can be subbed out after a game has started. There is no timestamp or datestamp on the main page.

In Yahoo that substitute will show in the League/Commissioner Notes on "League Page"...right after League Transactions.

Not sure how you can say my info is 100% false. Perhaps your league has different settings. Perhaps there is a setting that commissioners can make to allow this - though I have not encountered it and I find it hard to believe that Yahoo would ever allow a player to be subbed out after their game has started. Certianly it has NEVER been allowed in any of my leagues in Yahoo dating back 6 or 7 years now. As an example,... TODAY, in the same league in which I am commissioner, I (as owner, not as commissioner) made a last minute substitution as 1pm (EST) approached. I changed my mind as soon as I made the subsitution. Went back in to undo it.... I was not allowed to and received the message... "Transaction not allowed" (or something to that effect). Yahoo showed 1:02pm at the time of that message.

I just checked again, and the roster move isn't there.
As commissioner, I do not have the ability to delete the timestamp posting for transactions. So if it is not there, unless the commish has been able to hack the site, he made the substitution legally. In regards to the suggestion of differences for public/private/pay. I don't know the answer to that. Our league is a private league, but the free version. Since you have a commish, your league is also private and/or pay.

I am the commish of a free, private league where I own every team. Each team was signed up with a different email account. As the commish, I was able to move Marshall out of the starting lineup of my non-commish owned team half way through the game and no timestamp is visible anywhere. As you know, the commish can edit lineups at any time, so I just went to week 9 and removed Chris Johnson for Mendenhall. It says 'Lineup changed for team k for week 9', but it doesn't say what players were changed.Sure, if you're an owner, you can't sub out after the game started, but that restriction does not apply to the commish.I'll try to make some moves tonight during the GB/NE game and see what happens.

Commish Tools -> Edit rosters. 5 min left in the Q1 of NE/GB, and I, as the commish, went into the league and changed the lineup of 3 different teams. I replaced Finlay, Brees, and Rodgers with players who played earlier today. The lineups and scores are updated, yet there is no timestamp or mention of a roster change.ETA: I also subbed out Gostkowski and there was no message. However, when I subbed Gostkowski out of the week 14 lineup, there was a note that the roster was changed, but it did not say what players were changed. So, if you are in the finals of a Yahoo league, you should take a screenshot of the starting lineups at gametime.

Hey, thanks for checking into that - I'll keep that in mind from now on (re: screen shots). Incidentally (and ironically) the swap most likely hurt him, and either way I have an 80 point lead going into Monday night ... so I'm not feeling all that bad about it

Ummmm why?
So he is guarenteed the championship of course. Seriously though, I had a league like this on MFL in the offseason to test out some scoring changes.
Years ago, I was suspicious of a commish, so I decided to create my own league to see what a commish can and cannot do. I've continued the league out of habit.

No problem. Good luck next week.
