Trade advice for all (1 Viewer)

Not a definite offer, but someone sent me the following.

I get - Halladay, Bay

I give - Nolasco, Ichiro and Abreu

He has plenty of pitching, but needs some runs, stolen bases and average love. I am struggling with wins, although I think I do have a decent staff who just arent getting wins right now. I also could use some power, and I would obviously hope for some power from Bay.

My OF would then be Bay, Sizemore, Gardner with Headley, Span, JD Drew and Adam Laroche filling two UTIL spots, with the other 2 on my bench.

I think I am giving up too much, and leaves me a little thin, but if I ask for Zobrist (only other player I am interested in) it sways too far in my favor, IMO.

I was offered a deal today in a 10 team, 6 keeper league. Head to Head using CBS default scoring. Weekly lineups.

I would get:

Austin Jackson, CJ Wilson, next year's first round pick

I give:

Felix Hernandez

I am so tempted to jump on this offer, but seem hesitant.

My key pitchers are Felix, Sabathia, Cliff Lee, and Tommy Hanson. I picked Zito up off of waivers earlier this year. We also start 7 P with no difference between starter and reliever.

austin jackson is gonna be a crappier version of 2010 johnny damon

Bit harsh, but looks like the other owner is selling high hereKeep the King

First year keeper, ESPN H2H points and we keep 4 players. My team is off to a horrendous 1-5 start and looks like I am not going to be competing this year. So in that case I am hoping to build a bit for the future. I have 3 sure keepers right now with Hanley, Adrian Gonzalez and Justin Upton. My 4th could be Josh Johnson.

Got offered to trade my 3rd round pick next year for David Price which would be at probably like 36-42 ish but with 4 keepers it would make it more like a traditional 7th round pick. I am going to do this trade but want some input on it.

I have a feeling pitching is going to be kept a lot in the league and want to be able to start of with a strong staff for next year. If I get to keep Hanley, AGon, Upton and Price. If I wanted to I then could draft Josh Johnson in the 1st next year if he is the best value.

So 3rd round pick next year in 4 player keeper for David Price.

i just traded david wright for jose reyes and broxton. the thing is im already winning steals and have 3.5 closers.

So in a H2H 5x5 league(4x Keepers) a team has decided to mail it in and has targeted Longoria on my squad. My offense has been stellar, in large part to Longoria(plus AGonzo, Cano, Morneau, Cruz, Ethier) and my pitching has been OK. This team went SP heavy and got behind the 8-ball quick.

The Offer to me:

Longoria, John Ely, Kevin Gregg, Chapman

for

Hanson, Price, Lester, Heath Bell

Huge uptick in K's, WHIP, ERA which I need but I am basically kissing Longoria goodbye forever and setting them up with Braun, Miggy and Longoria, next year and beyond.

Is this worth it? This would leave me with 4 solid options to keep in 2011 but no sure fire 1.0x keeper. Its a true win now v. stay steady for the future.

League Details: 1st year 12 team ESPN points H2H keeper. Keep 4 players. Standard scoring with -.5 for Ks and +1 BB. Pitching is standard with 1 pt an inning, 7 pts a win, -5 a loss etc. We get to keep players for 3 years.

My team is 2-5 and probably won't make much noise this year. It seems pitching is fairly valuable in H2H points league which would explain my being hesitant here.

I would trade Justin Upton and Josh Johnson for Albert Pujols.

I already have Adrian Gonzalez at 1B and the my OF would be decimated but once again I am probably not playing for this year.

I would then try to trade Adrian Gonzalez for a Zack Greinke hopefully.

What are the opinions? Should I do this trade in a keeper league? It would give me Hanley Ramirez, Albert Pujols as keepers with Adrian Gonzalez and David Price as the other two potential ones.

Just pulled the trigger on the Pujols deal... Hopefully this was the right move.

If not, can't really go wrong with Pujols and Hanley as 2/4 keepers going into next year. Losing JJ hurts but we'll see.

Losing Grady from my OF, I finally gave up on Grienke and dealt him for BJ Upton in my AL only division. Disappointment for disappointment, hopefully the change of scenery helps BJ get his act together.

I don't really like this trade... I think you sold Greinke at his lowest possible value. Sure he doesn't get the wins right now but his numbers are there and I expect they will even get better. You also bought Upton who I don't really believe in much. He is going to get you 40 steals this year but his average will kill you and his power numbers are not going to be that great. At best you are looking at a .235 20hr 40-50 sb this year. Just think you could have done better for Greinke.

Agreed, but it is a H2H points league, so Upton getting me 18-20 every week helps me more than Grienke's 4pts. Plus losing Grady and Cruz decimated my OF I had to do something. Had the pitching depth to take a shot at BJ, always liked him and still think he has some upside.

12 team H2H league with weekly changes. My pitching is decent, but could use a boost. Was offered the following trade:

Barry Zito for Nelson Cruz

Current OF (start 3 SP):

Cruz

Kemp

Victorino

JD Drew

Cruz being on the DL is hurting right now, plus there are some other options on the WW I could grab to help with any injuries (Swisher, Gomes for example)

I've read articles that Zito is going to fall soon and that his numbers now are just luck. With Cruz on and off DL this month, is it worth dropping him for Zito and ride his luck streak until it breaks?

Current SP (start 5 SP, 2 P):

James Shields

Garza

Kasmir

Holland

Pineiro

Bonderman

Thoughts on this trade offer in a 16 team 8 player keeper H2H league, I get Glaus and Ian Stewart, I give up Beckham and

SP Jhoulys Chacin, good for me, or bad for me?

Don't hurt yourself smashing down the accept buttonIf Cruz can stay on the field, this is a great trade for you

After rejecting the trade, same guy now wants to trade me AJ Burnett for Cruz.

H2H points Keeper League.... 24 player teams no DL. The twist on the keeper aspect is that you can keep up to 5 players for up to 3 years if you give up the round in which they were taken in the next years draft to keep them. That being said, what is the opinions of people on the trade values of

PLAYER (ROUND HE'S KEPT IN)

Phil Hughes(15)

David Price(8)

Clay Bucholz(10)

Brandon Morrow(18)

Gio Gonzalez(24)

What comparable hitters do you think they'd match up with (age/upside) and if you had to keep three of them, with the league parameters, who do you like?

12 Team H2H points redraft league. I have Neftali Feliz, why would someone offer me Mo Rivera for him? Is Feliz that good? Or is there something wrong with Mo that I don't know about and that's why he's trying to unload him?

Working on a trade to get some starting pitching help.

Keeper roto league that scores W, S, K, ERA, WHIP

Who would you rather have - Clay Buchholz or Ricky Romero?

Same contract/status

TIA

Thoughts on Josh Beckett?

Is he really lost or can he bounce back this year? I am thinking of trading for him in a three sport league and the price is fairly cheap (a WR like Devin Thomas or Devin Aromashodu)

I am more interested about your thoughts on Beckett than anything else.

Thanks,

Westy

12 Team Roto League

H/R/HR/RBI/SB/OPS/AVG/BB/K

I give:

Joe Mauer

Michael Young

Adam Jones

For:

Matt Kemp

David Wright

1st Year Fantasy Baseball Manager, any thoughts.

RockHard, It all depends on what you need. If you need power i would go with Kemp and Wright, but if you are looking for average i would go with the Mauer side. Overall I would do that trade. Mauer isnt producing much with power, having only 3 HR's on the year for almost being the All-Star break is pretty weak for a 1st round pick. Kemps average isnt there right now, like it was earlier in the year, but he has the power numbers and is in a potent lineup to produce plenty of runs. Wright was struggling early this year, but now is tearing it up, he is a five tool player right now. Young is having a solid year, and Jones is more of a throw in player.

I'm currently 12 in Batting Average and Hits but 2 in HRs, so we were thinking along the same lines. Thanks for your advice.

Not sure I've ever asked for trade advice on here but my partner and I can't seem to agree so I'd like to see what some of you guys think... It's a 12 team 5x5 H2H and we are a little light in SBs and HRs and dead last in BA. Our middle infield has been very unproductive so far starting guys like J. Lopez, A. Callaspo, M. Avillas and a few other scrubs. We just picked up F. Sanchez (somebody just dropped him) to replace Avilles and picked up Asdrubal Cabrera for when he comes back. Our pitching staff is our strong point with Halladay, Lester, Liriano, Cahill, Hanson, J. Sanchez, G. Gonzalez, Nolasco, Niesse and Dickey. We also have Bedard stashed away. We have been offered Zobrist and J. Upton for Halladay. The guy offering that to us is the guy we are chasing for 1st in our division. He already has, C. Lee, Wainwright, Grienke, Latos and W. Leblanche.

I think Halladay is a game changer who gives us a shot at 4 catagories each week and I'm not sure Zo and Upton help us enough offensively to make this trade. My partner loves it as he thinks we have enough pitching to just load up on double starts each week and he's tired of watching our offense sputter every week. I can certainly see the arguement for both sides.

So Halladay for Zobrist and J. Upton What say ye?

Was just offered Strasburg for Ichiro. I've been trying to deal Ichiro for a while now. His BA is nice, but not as nice as we are used to, and he is stealing bases, but he isnt scoring runs and he certainly isnt driving anyone in.

I am in 5th place and need some wins and strikeouts.

My OF is Gardner, Ichiro, Abreu, Fowler, Headley, Stanton, Span, Lind, Torres and Beltran on the DL.

What is the word in innings limit with Starsburg?
