Trade Away Kareem Hunt? (1 Viewer)

I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous and I'm leaning no, but in my fortunate situation, I have a lot of talent on my bench.

12 team non-ppr, standard scoring.

Currently have:
QB- brady
RB - Elliott, Hunt
WR - Jordy Nelson, Tyreek Hill
TE - Coby Fleener
Flex - McCaffrey

Bench: Doug Martin, Mixon, Sterling Sheppard, Cole Beasly, Jamaal Williams (GB), D'Onta Foreman, Hunter Henry

I'm getting offered Gronk / Landry for Hunt / Sheppard. I don't think I would accept this trade outright, but is it worth exploring trading Hunt to upgrade my TE for someone like Gronk? TE is my only serious weakness IMO, and although it's nice to have some solid RB depth, I feel like I'm wasting Martin / Mixon on the bench. Obviously they both have to prove something, but I feel they are trending upwards.

Thoughts? I don't think I can give up the best player in fantasy, but it would certainly fill the hole in my TE slot. Hunt's value will likely not be higher than it is right now.

No way. The downgrade at RB is not made up by the improvement of an injury prone TE and a WR that doesn't catch TD's.

If you want to trade for a better TE I'd try and trade away either McCaffrey or Mixon. I'd see if the Kelce or Ertz owner were open to trade for one of them. Kelce could be a buy low candidate after his performance this past week.

I don't think shopping Hunt is wrong, but I also don't know that giving him up even for two starters in any position would improve your team and would likely weaken it. I wouldn't do this trade even though I think Hunt has already seen his best games this season.

He has counter-offered; Gronk / Odell for Hunt / Mixon / Fleener / Shepard,

or Gronk / Odell for Zeke / Jordy / Mixon / Fleener

I'm still thinking these are too much and puts too much risk in my team.

I would agree. I think these are worse offers than the first one. Odell is elite but you're giving up way too much.

Why would you have to give up 4 players including the leagues top RB for 2 players, one of which is injury prone? That's crazy.  If you want to do it I'd counter with Hunt and Fleener for Gronk and Odell. Keep Mixon and Shepard because the people on your WW are probably nowhere near their level.
