Trade Deadline This Week - What do You Think of This Offer? (1 Viewer)

Quick overview - qb = +3 at 250, + 1 ea addl 25 yards, 6 pt td, -1 int;

rb = + 1 at 60, 80, 100, +1 ea addl 15 yards, .5 ppr

I give Ben Roethlisberger plus Thomas Rawls; I get Aaron Rodgers plus Rashad Jennings.

This was a counter offer to Roeth and Rawls for Rodgers and Hill

Here are my qbs  - Roethlisberger and Carr; here are my rbs - Booker, Bibbs, Dion Lewis, Kenny Dixon, Rawls

My take - close to a wash at QB; but with Booker and Bibbs on bye I have to start Dixon plus either Rawls or Lewis at RB2.  Both in their first game back.  I wanted the proven Hill, but even Jennings at least is coming off a good week so this trade would give me a guy that will get touches as opposed to starting one of two guys that we have no idea of the number of touches they will get.  The problem is - the potential of Rawls and Lewis is pretty good and with Booker/Bibbs only out this week due to BYE, maybe I stand pat and take a hit at RB this week but better prospects later in the season.  The wildcard is will Rodgers be better for the rest of the season than Roethlisberger which will ultimately decide whether I accept this counter.

The first offer was better. Rashad Jennings is horribly inefficient, to the point that they tried giving the job (unsuccessfully) to Paul Perkins last week.

It's really tough, because Roethlisberger has a bad weather matchup with very strong winds this week. Odds are, he won't play well. Rodgers is a fine trade there, but I wouldn't want Rawls. I think that Procise is the starter from here on out with Rawls having a pass catching role. Kenneth Dixon might take over as early as this week, but that might not be enough.

Depending on who you have at receiver and what your record is, you might want to consider punting this week. You'd be giving up a good deal of value for just a bye week fill-in, and I don't think that Jennings will help you win any more than Rawls would. The only reason to trade is to do Ben for A Rod. That's up to you if he'll do it straight up.

Can you help me? https://forums.footballguys.com/forum/topic/751495-trade-edelman-and-giodixon-for-brate-and-ingram/

Really??

Everything ive read and seen seems to indicate the exact opposite. Rawls is a power runner and that's what Seattle want and what they've lacked all season. It's not difficult to see who's suited to the passing down role in that offense. I think Prosise will get more touches this week but I think the ratio will be closer than prople think, maybe 60-40 in his favour and I fully expect Rawls to have the starting job by next week and for the rest of the season.

Regarding your trade I would stay put. Rodgers has some tough games remaining and their offence isn't exactly firing on all cylinders. Carrs schedule is really good so I'd be happy starting Carr if the match ups were right over Big Ben.

I definitely wouldn't want Jennings especially at Rawls expense. Booker and Bibbs are hardly setting the world alight also

If your in a position to take a flyer on your rb's this week stay put and be stronger later in the season.

Well - I wound up accepting the trade and got Rodgers and Jennings for Roethlisberger and Rawls.  Jennings actually had a decent game in the one week I will definitely use him.  I have a little buyer's remorse though in that even if I pull out a win this week - I think the players I traded away might very well outperform the players I got in the remainder of the season.  Time will tell.

I hate the trade of Rawls for Jennings, as others have said Jennings is horrible and NYG are trying to get Perkins more involved.  BUT, I think I like swapping Ben for Rodgers.  Ben has some truly horrific home/road splits this year.  He's almost unstartable on the road.  Rodgers hasn't been piloting a great NFL offense like we're used to seeing, but fantasy wise he's fine, and should offer more consistency the rest of the year.  He does have a tough schedule ROS though.

Wish you hadn't made this trade, but now that it's done just hope for Rodgers to go off.

Agreed witth the comments - now just hoping I can flip Jennings for value as no more bye weeks to worry about and have Booker/Bibbs, Lewis and Dixon. Jennings really boiled down to a one week need.  But man will I miss Rawls...good thing this is a redraft or it would be even worse.

lol - indeed - if it was Dynasty I would be sticking my foot through this screen to kick you in the bum! ;-)

Worked out for you on Jennings this week though!
