Trade Dobbins for Mike Evans? (1 Viewer)

Hello all! I am in a 12 team, .5 PPR league and I am currently 8-0.

I know it may seem crazy to trade a solidified RB2 for a WR who is out for multiple weeks.. but I just lost Godwin and wanted to see what everyone thought of this potential offer after seeing my roster. (Don't love Waddle.. although Tua is back now, so it should get better for him) - Looking to upgrade at WR down the line, as I like my RB room currently. Thinking Evans may be a realistic target here due to him being out.

My Roster

QB - Sam Darnold or Brock Purdy
RB - Derrick Henry
RB - Joe Mixon
WR - Justin Jefferson
WR - Jaylen Waddle
TE - Jake Ferguson or Cade Otton
Flex - JK Dobbins

Bench - Tyrone Tracy, Raheem Mostert, Jordan Addison, Jalen McMillan.

Any thoughts / advice are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I wouldn’t do it, it’s your flex if Evans comes back you might get lucky and he will outscore Dobbins….. no need.

Thanks to those who responded.. would answers change if this trade was for Nico Collins instead of Mike Evans?

I am not sure if my answer would change but I would be a lot more tempted to do it. My only apprehension is Nico is coming off a hammy issue. Those can flare up so there is significant risk. If I knew for a fact that it wouldn't come back up I would make the deal for Nico. But since that can't happen I likely stick with Dobbins but it's so close I might change my mind in a couple hours.

Thanks for all the replies.. last question.. this same person is now offering me Diontae Johnson for my Tyrone Tracy. Tracy atm is my top "backup RB", and Diontae would give me some WR Depth. (I personally don't love Diontae's fantasy situation in Baltimore, but curious to know your thoughts)

I would much rather have Tracy moving forward over DJ. I just don't think DJ will be consistent enough to even try and play.

Tracy all the way. I would only move Dobbins for Nico.

I would. You start 2 rbs and both are solid and u have Mostert and Tracy as ur backups. You could use more help o WR depth. Makes your starting lineup better
