Trade for Swisher? (1 Viewer)

5x5 w/ OBP, 14 team league, weekly lineup changes.

My offense is as follows:

C - Varitek (Doumit)

1B - Konerko

2B - Kinsler

3B - Blake (Aramis Ramirez)

SS - Tulowitzki

OF - Granderson

OF - Kemp

OF - Nelson Cruz

DH - Luke Scott/Michael Cuddyer/Kendry Morales

I'm working on a 2 for 1 with Konerko and one of my DH guys for Swisher. I like Cuddyer slightly more than Morales, mainly on the strength of his better OBP and that he steals the odd base here and there, but Morales smashes righties and can be useful during weeks like this where he sees a steady diet of northpaws. I've offered Morales and Konerko for Swisher, but the other guy wants Cuddyer and Konerko.

I'd be giving up a little depth, but I have Aramis coming back soon, so I could use Blake at 3B/1B/DH, and I want to try to upgrade now if possible.

Rank the following options:

-Stand pat

-Trade Morales/Konerko for Swisher

-Trade Cuddyer/Konerko for Swisher

Educated opinions only, please.

It's an OBP league. He's ranked significantly higher than Konerko, and slightly higher than Cuddyer. Aramis is coming off the DL soon.

I understand that it's an OPS league.........but won't Konerko/Cuddyer out preform Swisher in every other category? It could be I'm just not a firm believer in Swish.

Does Cuddyer have IF eligibility? If so, don't do it, and I think Morales has a higher ceiling than Swish. But if Cuddyer is strictly an OF, then the deal becomes more palitiable.

I do think Swish could have a big second half. He was doing pretty good til he got drilled on his elbow in May and he's shown flashes. A second half at Yankee stadium is a pretty attractive concept, I think he'll get ya 30 homers this year with a 400+ on base.

Yes, on base league is obviously key, but if you're high on this, your league must factor it in.
